A war to end war?

Since Saturday, horrific images of the savage surprise attack by Hamas on innocent, unarmed Israelis has been on every broadcast outlet. The brutality of their invasion is sickening and astonishing. Women raped, killed and their bodies desecrated. Babies shot and reportedly beheaded. Men, women, and children taken hostage into Gaza; their fate unknown. Americans among the taken.

Very few Americans have experienced the horror of combat, but those who have spend the rest of their lives with memories rarely shared with friends or family. Only a fellow veteran will understand what they have experienced. Thanks to smartphone videos taken by the terrorists and their victims, the world is getting a view of the ruthless, vicious nature of the assault conducted by these Palestinian bastards. To lay waste to innocents like this, is unlike anything most combat veterans have ever seen.

The brutal Hamas terrorist attack should have everyone in the civilized world stand together in outrage.  Unfortunately, it does not. In a joint statement signed by at least 57 Harvard student groups, the students blame Israel for the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas killing Israelis. Could there be a more clueless, ignorant, pampered bunch of elitist students in the United States?  The answer is yes, the Ivy League along with a number of prominent universities is chock full of these “scholars” who think that the Nazi SS-like murder of over 1,200 Jews in their own homes is their own fault. They have forgotten or never knew the moral imperative, "never again".

Throughout the world anti-Israel demonstrations broke out.  In Sydney, Australia crowds gathered chanting “Gas the Jews” and “Kill the Jews”. European capitals saw much of the same. Similar protests were seen in New York’s Times Square, the west side of Los Angeles, downtown Chicago, and other major cities in the United States. An astonishing display of antisemitism by radical haters including Black Lives Matter (BLM). If terrorists drove into the Coachella Music Festival, then murdered and raped hundreds, would any American in their right mind ask for peace and mutual understanding?

Now if anyone is still too dumb to understand why there is the “right to keep and bear arms” embodied in the Second Amendment, then go back and again watch the videos coming from Israel of women and children being dragged from their homes and cars by terrorists, to be raped and murdered in cold blood. Then you’ll understand why we have the Second Amendment to the Constitution.

With war raging in Israel, the White House called a lid for Joe Biden at 11:46 AM Monday. This means that the President of the Nation is unavailable for the rest of the day. There was nothing on his official schedule prior to the “lid” as he probably neither said nor did anything before 11:46 AM. However, the Nation did hear from Admiral John Kirby, National Security Council Strategic Communication Coordinator, when James Rosen of Newsmax asked if President Biden will support Prime Minister Netanyahu in the Israeli-Hamas War. "As long as it takes", he replied. He twice declined to give a definitive “Yes”, instead saying the Prime Minister "knows very well how strongly President Biden stands with Israel." So in other words, it’s safe to say no, Biden is not committed.  He won't be asking Netanyahu to come to the White House or address Congress like Ukrainian President Zelensky.

Former President Trump remarked, “We are in very, very grave danger of having a World War III and this will be a war of obliteration and we have a man that can’t even walk off stage”, and that’s a charitable assessment. Joe Biden is neither physically nor cognitively up to the task of Commander in Chief in a crisis. He has more or less disappeared, other than offering an occasionally brief appearance where he mumbles about standing with Israel and then vanishes. He did tell Iran to “Be Careful”, whatever that means. In the meantime, the national security team of this administration, gifts from the Obama Administration who are responsible for much of the current Middle East mess, remain confused and inept. Afterall one of those members, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, said on September 29, “The Mideast is quieter than any time in two decades.” What brilliant insight by Jake.

The Hamas masterminds of this tragic and unnecessary war are residing in Qatar far from the destruction of Gaza, living large thanks to funding from Iran, enjoying a peaceful life.  The Israeli Mossad should hunt these  criminal zealots down who are living in swank resorts, and send them off to meet their 72 virgins. The head of the snake must be cut off.

Chairman Mao once said “all power comes from the barrel of a gun. This is true in war and in peace. Weapons can be used to prevent war and keep the peace as well.

But there will never be a war to end war.
