Draining the Swamp
President Trump is draining the Swamp. He has found a man, Elon Musk, with the ability to operate the pump needed for such a gargantuan task. As the Department of Government Efficiency (D.O.G.E.) digs through the Federal budget, waste is being exposed on a level unseen. No stone has been left unturned, and the progressive left has gone bananas. Revelations have driven the usual suspects running to any open microphone moaning about government spending being severely curtailed. Wait, this is about taxpayer money being squandered by domestic and foreign NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations).
This week it was announced that spending by USAID (United States Agency for International Development) operation has been put on hold. For years, this bunch of rogue Federal bureaucrats have doled out billions of taxpayer dollars as they saw fit. Their $43.4 billion budget in fiscal year 2023 was spent as follows: foreign governance assistance ($16.8 billion), humanitarian aid ($10.5 billion), health care initiatives ($7 billion), administrative efforts ($3.5 billion) and agriculture, education, and infrastructure projects ($3.1 billion). The D.O.G.E. crew is finding waste and corruption on a grand scale.
For example, the Biden Regime approved $1.5 million for employment and entrepreneurial opportunities to the Serbian pro-LGBT Grupa Izadji, which translates as “Group Come Out.” The more this onion is peeled, the more absurd the waste of taxpayer dollars becomes. Some examples are, $2.5 million for electric vehicles for Vietnam, $2 million for sex changes and LGBTQ activism in Guatemala, $6 million to fund tourism in Egypt, and $43 million for a gas station in Afghanistan. USAID also sent them hundreds of millions of dollars for irrigation canals, farming equipment to support poppy cultivation and heroin production. This list is long and shocking. Without question this is just the tip of the iceberg.
So, what do the progressive Democrats do when this abuse is laid bare? They blame Elon and his team for discovering it. Wait a minute, isn’t he responsible for exposing waste and calling attention to it? Trump assigned Musk the task of making the government more efficient. The mere fact that the likes of Senator Chuck U Schumer, Senator Pocahontas Warren and Rep. Sandy the Barmaid Cortez (AOC) are complaining about his team’s findings, continues to define the utter stupidity of these progressive elected officials. Their meltdown is epic and fun to watch. Get the popcorn.
Sponsoring the kind of fiscal nonsense that Elon and his merry band have uncovered should irritate even the most committed Democrats. Wait until they find out about the $100,000.00 spent for a Trans-Gender puppet show in Mongolia…kidding. But all kidding aside, how could any citizen not be outraged at this folly? It’s been discovered that under the Biden Regime, USAID, was funneling money to Politico, a left-wing publication. Since when does a political publication qualify for foreign aid? There are so many Americans that are genuinely hurting, and this money could accelerate the fire, flood and hurricane victim's road to recovery. What are these elected whiners thinking about?
As spending is examined line by line in the federal budget, another egregious example of waste was found at the EPA. Unelected bureaucrats sent $50 million to the New York Immigration Coalition and $50 million to the Climate Justice Alliance. They have even discovered that $100 million went to the NDN Collective, a movement dedicated to building Native American (Indian Tribes) power. Now someone please explain, what NDN Collective has to do with protecting the environment? Absolutely nothing. Helping Native Americans is the Bureau of Indian Affairs responsibility.
When a genius like Rep. Sandy Cortez opines the following about Elon Musk, “This dude is probably one of the most unintelligent billionaires I have ever met or seen or witnessed,” you know for certain that her brain rattles around in her head like a BB in a Boxcar. Her blather makes one wonder, how in the world did this piece of work get elected? Only in America do we give the truly stupid the opportunity to be elected and prove that they are truly stupid. She’s not alone, just listen to Senators Elizabeth Warren or Ron Wyden and Representatives Maxine Waters, Daniel Goldman, Al Green, Eric Swalwell. All of them making uproarious protests about the discovery of wasteful spending. Unbelievable that they think this is awful. What planet do these loons live on?
In the coming weeks, those who are fond of betting the farm, will clean up if they wager that even more examples of government excessive largess will be discovered. The legacy media will be reluctant to report what is found but there is no doubt that President Trump and any number of Republicans will let the folks know through broadcast press conferences, podcasts and social media. The traditional sources will continue to lose their audiences. And the Democrats will lose ground if they persist screaming about foreign aid cuts when there is so much at home that needs attention. The dolts defending a foreign aid slush fund, USAID, have picked the wrong hill to die on.
The Swamp pump will continue to whirr day and night until the the Swamp is drained of years of graft and corruption. Meanwhile, the progressive legacy media will report a so-called “constitutional crisis” and Democrats will scream that “no one elected Elon”. The Biden Regime’s careless and wasteful funneling of taxpayer dollars into the likes of left-wing Politico, Iraqi Sesame Street, and Moroccan pottery classes will shock the Nation.
The late Charles Krauthammer once said, “When you take taxpayer money away from politicians, it’s like asking Dracula to forsake blood.”
