Minnesota Word Salad

If there was ever any question about Kamala Harris’ pick as her running mate, Governor Tim Walz removed all doubt in his debate with fellow Vice Presidential nominee, Senator JD Vance. As the saying goes, he was like a deer in the headlights of an eighteen wheeler. Harrumphing and fumbling his answers, he gave most pause to wonder how in the world he got elected to any office let alone the Governorship of Minnesota. He admitted he had misspoke (lied) about being in Tiananmen Square during 1989 protests and massacre.  At one point in the debate he declared that, “I’m just a knucklehead”.

The Nation was introduced to a world class baloney purveyor (BS Artist) that even the two biased CBS news babes, Norah O’Donnell and Margaret Brennan, couldn’t make look like a safe bet to be the number two man in government. They did their best to prejudice viewers against the Republican ticket, Brennan fact checking Senator Vance about Haitians in Springfield Ohio. The rules stated that there would be no interruptions by them to clarify a candidate’s answers. Vance immediately set her straight and to her chagrin, she grudgingly thanked him for explaining an immigration loophole regarding Haitian aliens. Of course at no time did either of them question any of Walz’s loopy statements.

Once again the corporate media’s CBS ladies were exposed as nothing more than biased, opinionated journalists disguised as straight up news reporters. As in the Trump-Harris debate it was an obvious three on one pile on like the former President experienced with the ABC crew. A few questions into the debate everyone knew that the fix was in, throw Walz the softball questions so he could deflect them and attack Trump.

The Nation never heard what the Harris-Walz ticket’s policy was on the Mideast chaos. Would Kamala support a preemptive Israeli strike on Iran? Instead, Walz bloviated about Trump tweets. Mr. Trump called climate change a “hoax”, Walz declared. Never mind that he was clueless about the Harris climate and energy plan. Tim failed to outline how they should handle the border. He railed that Trump argued against a border bill that was rejected on a bipartisan basis in the Senate. No follow up by the CBS ladies on this outright lie. His performance could only delight the anti-Trumpers, but might move a lot of Americans who vote on “who looks like a problem solver and who looks like a problem”.

Answering with word salad after word salad, most viewers knew that Walz was evading questions about his team’s plans for the Nation. This was glaringly evident especially since Vance gave very clear answers on Trump’s vision of governance. It’s now impossible to believe that this strategy by the Democratic ticket is anything other than deliberate. Their ideas amount to a continuation of the unpopular Biden Regime agenda of more spending, big intrusive government, no solution to the border chaos and more Green New Deal baloney. Walz made sure this vision remained hidden.

Vance was obviously running for Vice President. Walz, it seemed, was running from the questions. If he was told that the goal was to say as little as possible about their policies for the next four years, Walz succeeded magnificently and followed campaign orders like the good soldier he claims to be.

Nothing that Tim Walz said during the Vice Presidential debate will reassure voters that he was a brilliant pick for the number two spot on the ticket, nor does it reassure anyone about Harris’ readiness for the Oval Office. JD Vance’s performance did validate Trump’s judgement about picking a bright young man who did grow up in the middle class and can clearly articulate a governing vision.

The liberal LA Times editorial opinion page summed it up perfectly, “Walz’s performance must have made everyone wonder how Harris came to choose him for the national ticket, and whether Harris herself possesses the executive decision-making capacity to serve as President.”

The choice in November is simple. That choice is not Kamala Harris for President and leader of the free world.
