A lot of other news is lost due to the wall-to-wall coverage of the mysterious kidnapping of NBC Today host Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy. Many American outlets are totally obsessed with her disappearance, flooding the airwaves with hearsay, speculation, and experts who add nothing. Everyone wishes the best for the Guthrie family, but the 24/7 coverage crowds out other important stories. What follows is the Other News…
This week, an 18-year-old transgender in Canada murdered eight people in a school shooting. Did you hear about it? CNN briefly described the killer only as ‘an 18-year-old female.’ The police in Tumbler Ridge where the crime occurred, afraid of misgendering the killer, invented a new description They labeled the killer as a “gunperson in a dress”. Huh? The legacy media used female pronouns in their reports, apparently out of some misguided respect for the murderer so their coverage doesn’t cast aspersions on “the trans community”.
Two attorney generals got to testify before congressional committees this week. First up, Attorney General Pam Bondi who had quite a sparring match with members of the House Judiciary Committee. Bondi wouldn't give an inch when confronted by Democrats who only wanted to talk about the Epstein matter. Things might have been loud but that didn't stop Congressman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) from getting a little shut eye, a video caught one of his aides nudging him to wake up.
Let's be honest, the Epstein files have totally blown up in the Democrats face. Insincere lawmakers like Ro Khanna (D-CA), Ted Lieu (D-CA) and others, sat on the story for four years and had no interest in it when Joe Biden was President. Now all of a sudden, they claim it’s all about the survivors. They really care about the survivors? Bunk. They're trying to get Donald Trump. The only thing that came out of the last million pages released, was information about people trying to plot and plan against Donald Trump being in cahoots with Jeffrey Epstein. A big nothing burger. Meanwhile it was revealed that Trump was talking to the sheriff in Florida in 2006. He thanked him for going after Epstein, putting him away and charging him. CNN of course reported that this indicates he knew about his nefarious activities. You just can't make this stuff up. There's no moral imperative behind this righteousness. It's only political theater. Walter Kerr, writer and Broadway theater critic wrote the following, “thinking that politicians control their narrative is like believing actors wrote the movie”.
Attorney General Keith Ellison of Minnesota testified before the Senate committee and declared that he was at no fault with respect to the Somalia daycare fraud in the state. He acted like they were pillars of the community and would never swindle the hard-working taxpayers of the great state of Minnesota. This of course is nothing more than wholesale baloney. He also denied taking political contributions from that same tribe of Somalis. His smirking through his testimony infuriated some Senators. Corruption denial that raises even more questions. Furthermore, Ellison stated that he bears no responsibility for the lack of protection of ICE agents who were carrying out immigration enforcement and rounding up criminal immigrants.
Equally important, President Trump announced that the crazy EPA regulations affecting the manufacture of automobiles and climate change mandates instituted during the Obama Regime are being rescinded. The science that these regulations were based on has always been controversial and debatable. Naturally, this will cause hysterical clutching of pearls among the environmental tree huggers. Progressives fear that they won’t be able to dictate how energy is supplied and appliances that Americans can buy. Folks will no longer be required to buy an electric car unless they want to. In fact, they can buy any car they want. Clean fossil fuel will be utilized for energy which is what is supposed to happen in a free society.
Paying attention to other news is important, hopefully it’s not filtered and skewed to fit an agenda.
