The Atlantic Liar

In April 2020, Vanessa Guillén, a 20-year-old Army private, the daughter of Mexican immigrants, was bludgeoned to death by a fellow soldier who was sexually harassing her at Fort Hood, Texas. The killer, Aaron Robinson, aided by his girlfriend, burned Vanessa’s body and buried her in a riverbank near the base. Her remains were discovered two months later after a massive search. Her killer committed suicide after the police closed in on him. The crime was outrageous and created a firestorm.

Fort Hood had become known as a particularly perilous assignment for female soldiers, and members of Congress took up the cause of reform and passed the I Am Vanessa Guillén Act.  Shortly after her remains were discovered, then President Trump invited her family to the White House. With Vanessa’s mother seated in the Oval Office next to Trump, the family met for 25 minutes, with cameras recording the scene. By all reports from those in the room, it was a somber and sympathetic meeting.  Trump offered to help with funeral expenses, but they were eventually covered by the Army.

Now, four years later the Editor-in-Chief of The Atlantic Magazine, Jeffery Goldberg, has a new take on this story. Exploiting the dead veteran’s murder, he writes that Trump fumed about a $60,000 bill he received from Guillén’s family for her funeral during a December 2020 Oval Office meeting, allegedly telling aides, “It doesn’t cost 60,000 bucks to bury a f–king Mexican.” He supposedly ordered his Chief of Staff Mark Meadows not to pay it. There is absolutely no corroboration from anyone who was in the room that this happened. This story was concocted for pure political gain, nothing more.  Goldberg does not give a damn about the impact on the Guillén family. He is truly despicable.

Goldberg also writes that Trump was a great admirer of Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini, telling people that he wished that we had great Generals like Hitler had, according to John Kelly, a former General and fired Trump Chief of Staff. Again, there is no identifiable sourcing for this fiction. Goldberg is the same guy who wrote in 2018 that when Trump was in Europe, he refused to visit an American Cemetery in France because the men buried there were “suckers and losers”.  No one who was there has ever been able to substantiate this, including his former aide John Bolton, who is no friend of Trump’s.  Bolton has been very vocal about his dislike of the former President. That story was also debunked by John Kelly, who is now actively campaigning for Harris.

Why would The Atlantic publish such bilge? Why would Jeffery Goldberg write this kind of bullsh*t.  Look no further than the owner of the magazine, Lauren Powell Jobs.  Lauren is the billionaire widow of the late Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple. She is an off the chart liberal honker and coincidently one of Kamala Harris’ best friends. Hmmm. Goldberg likes his fat paycheck and is only too happy to do Lauren’s bidding. He will lie like hell to keep the bucks rolling in.

The floundering Harris-Walz campaign is pulling out all the stops to label Trump a racist, a fascist and a threat to democracy.  Nora O’Donnell led her national CBS news broadcast with the story of Trump going off on the cost of the funeral.  Why would CBS do that?  Maybe because the network is so deep in the tank for Kamala, they had to retaliate for the demanded release of the edited Kamal’s 60 Minute interview transcript where she gave two answers to the same questions. A diversion for sure.

Since they can’t campaign on their spectacular stewardship of the economy, the solid secure border the current Regime is responsible for and Biden-Harris’ wise world leadership that has prevented the outbreak of war and suffering, the focus is Trump is Hitler and a threat to democracy.  What happened to the “Joy” candidate that Kamal claimed to be at her convention coronation? Folks have wised up to her lies and this vicious propaganda.

The Guillén family attorney, Natalie Khawam, dismissed Goldberg’s article and accused the Atlantic editor of lying. “He outright lied. More importantly, he used and exploited my clients, and Vanessa Guillén’s murder for cheap political gain.” The attorney continued “This supposed conversation that Trump had would have occurred over 4 years ago. Why a story about it now?”  Yes, why indeed.

Mayra Guillén, Vanessa’s sister, wrote on X (Twitter) in response to Goldberg’s reporting, “Wow, I don’t appreciate how you are exploiting my sister’s death for politics - hurtful & disrespectful to the important changes she made for service members. President Donald Trump did nothing but show respect to my family & Vanessa. In fact, I voted for President Trump today.” If he were so evil and racist, why did she vote for him?

Mark Meadows, former Trump Chief of Staff, posted on X (Twitter), “Any suggestion that President Trump disparaged Ms. Guillén or refused to pay for her funeral expenses is absolutely false. He was nothing but kind, gracious, and wanted to make sure that the military and the U.S. government did right by Vanessa Guillén and her family.”

It is pathetic that Kamala and her minders have resorted to this brand of vile gutter politics.  Her failure to conduct a make sense interview, have a press conference or engage in meaningful dialog about what she would do differently than Joe, speaks volumes about her competence.  There are sordid stories about her and Tim Walz’s past nefarious behavior on the Internet that have some credulity but are not being investigated by the corporate media with any degree of curiosity.

Meanwhile Joe is out wandering around saying about Trump, “We gotta lock him up.”  Obama is repeating the story about Trump playing 30 minutes of music during a rally, implying he’s lost it, but not telling the crowd that Trump stopped his rally because there were two medical emergencies. Tim Walz is prancing around on stage like an outraged La Cage aux Folles dancer, calling Elon Musk a “dipshit.” Finally, an unhinged Kamala is claiming that Trump is going to use the military to punish his enemies like Hitler.  In 2008, John McCain was compared to Hitler by the Democrats. So was Romney in 2012. Look it up.  Evidently, desperation breeds the Pinocchio syndrome in addition to TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome).

Less than two weeks until Election Day, expect more lies and false stories as the Democrats try to frame Trump as Adolf, the Anti-Christ.  Anyone who thinks Trump venerates the German mass murderer is a complete moron.
