The Secret Majority
Most everyone has heard of the “Silent Majority”. The term usually refers to conservative voters who do not participate in the public discourse but appeared in the political campaigns of Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and Donald Trump. Now, according to reports, there is the “Secret Majority” which to the dismay of the Progressive loons may include Democrat voters.
These are the folks that don’t respond to market research firms or poll takers. They are the ones who are silently fuming about the unadulterated woke horse dung that the mainstream media and progressive liberals put out each day. They remain quiet at work or at social gathering when the subject of their views regarding current state or federal governance is brought up. This is especially true in “blue” states like New York or California. Both states are overtaxed progressive messes. In one state, change is afoot. California remains aptly in LaLa Land.
It looks like the citizens of New York are waking up as the Republican candidate for governor, Congressman Lee Zeldin, is making a serious run to unseat Governor Kathy Hochal who assumed the office when scandal plagued Andrew Cuomo was forced to resign. Zeldin’s constantly reminding New Yorkers about the progressive democratic regime’s horrid leadership on critical issues. Since Democrats hold a huge margin in registered voters, one would think that Kathy would be a shoo-in.
“Not so fast”, as Coach Lee Corso would say. By any measure the state is in a mess with crime and needless spending out of control. Every day New Yorkers are subject to criminal attacks on the streets, subways and everywhere outside their homes. There was a gang shooting outside Lee Zeldin’s home, no one is immune. Yet Governor Hochal alleged that the Congressman was more concerned about gun rights than crime. Sadly Kathy is increasingly out of touch with ordinary citizens including her opponent’s recent brush with the criminal chaos, gang gunfire outside his suburban home. In addition, the state’s high tax rate has driven so many residents out, that the state has lost congressional seats.
Unfortunately, that is not true in California. There was a time when it was the national leader in darn near everything. Not the case nowadays. One day the “Secret Majority” in the state will have had enough of high taxes, crime, homelessness, a failing education system, energy shortages, wildfires, a drug pandemic and will wise up. This will happen when there is a ground swell movement fueled by massive media dollars to highlight the insanity that Newsom and his predecessor’s stewardship have wrought. The proof is abundant. Like New York, Californians have fled the state in record numbers. The Golden State isn’t that golden anymore.
If you ask anyone in California who the Republican candidate for governor is, you’ll get a blank stare and “Huh?” It’s state Senator Brian Dahle. Evidently, he has a campaign advertising budget of $11.00 because you won’t find any media commercials in the major state’s media markets. Governor Gavin Newsom will win in a landslide, which will further embolden him to seek the Presidency. His delusion knows no bounds. California has a multitude of problems that will be exposed for national consumption. No one wants the mess that the progressive Governor who runs the state has created as President. Someone tell Gavin that Reckoning Day, is just around the corner.
The Secret Majority doesn’t give a wit about the Congressional January 6th Committee investigating Trump nor are they kvetching about the 2020 election results. These folks are genuinely concerned about the real kitchen table issues: high food prices, high energy prices, feeling safe in their homes, their children getting a quality education without being forced to accept views contrary to their own. They don’t endorse the .06% of the population who want their transgender agenda accepted without question, i.e., boys competing in girls’ sports.
Tuesday, November 8th will be an epiphany for Joe and his crew. His war on American energy producers will come to an end. The threat of an impeachment proceeding for his failure to enforce the existing laws on immigration may move him to seal the porous southern border. His minions will look like rats abandoning a sinking ship, searching for a 2024 candidate who will buy their brand of progressive baloney.
The Secret Majority won’t be so secret anymore and it will be amazing, watching the consternation of media Beltway Bloviators, who according to Media Research Center, 87 percent of their network news coverage this election cycle has been negative to Republicans. Not shocking. They will try to analyze what has a been obvious to 75% of the Nation who knew that the country was headed in the wrong direction.
No doubt the Bloviators will still be clueless.
