Things that don’t add up
Lately, there’s is an epidemic of things that don’t add up. Everyday Americans are subject to nonsense, stupidity, and outright lies put out by pundits, politicians, and newsreaders. Some of this information defies imagination and makes one pause, wondering what happened to truth or common sense.
This week President Joe Biden will host George Floyd’s family at the White House, this to mark a year since Floyd died during an arrest gone bad by the Minneapolis Police Department. The death of this career criminal, while unfortunate, sparked the national anti-racism and anti-police brutality movement that has torn the Nation apart. It has led to a dangerous “defund the police” movement and disrespect for the rule of law. Singling out this man, adding to his false legacy as a black icon, Joe Biden sends a message that only acerbates the problem.
If Biden wants to highlight victims and their families with White House invitations, then maybe he could invite Kate Steinle's parents on the anniversary of her murder in San Francisco by an illegal alien. Perhaps he could offer the family of retired black St. Louis police officer David Dorn an Invitation to a White House dinner. Officer Dorn was killed while defending a friend’s business from looters last summer. What’s Joe thinking?
Certain media folk and government officials are honking for citizens to carry vaccine passports to move about the country. However, if you want Voter ID as well, you will just be labeled a hypocrite. Every time you hear one of Dr. Fauci’s public proclamations, it becomes an intelligence test that millions of people fail. Now this noted quack recently said that he is “not convinced” COVID-19 developed naturally and called for further investigation into the viruses’ origins, a total reversal of his previous position. The Wall Street Journal published a report that the evidence is quite convincing that last years’ original stories about the “China Flu” (politically incorrect phrase) originated in the Wuhan China research facility. This revelation comes despite last year’s widespread defense by some, including Dr. Faker, that it originated in that city’s “wet food” market.
It is quite amazing that the mainstream media has jumped on the bandwagon and added up the facts, concluding that there is an almost certainty that the WSJ report is correct. Great math skills media!
The increasingly woke Pentagon plans on launching a program with private companies to surveil the social media accounts of members of the US military for “extremism”, to avoid First Amendment consequences. This program initiated by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin will be nothing less than a circumvention of constitutional rights through surreptitious government monitoring. The contracted company will rely on “key words” to determine extremism. What do you think will be considered “key words” used in today’s woke military? Early betting suggest that “Donald Trump” might be the key words that would cause a military member grief. The current Defense Secretary, while a retired General, is nothing more than a political tool who won’t get called out for this offensive action.
Stupidity and arrogance abound outside the Washington DC beltway. One only needs to look at the disingenuous Michigan Governor. Last week, Gov. Whitmer refused to immediately end one of her ridiculous restrictions, a maximum of 6 patrons per table for indoor dining. She was caught in a group photo of 13 individuals, living large in a local restaurant, in violation of her of May 15th capacity order on gathering limitations for entertainment establishments, recreational establishments, and food service establishments. The double standard lives for the elites. She offered a weak apology that sparked no indignation from the local Michigan or national media.
What really doesn’t add up is the North Korean dictator’s, Kim Jong-un, latest declaration. He has outlawed mullets and skinny jeans to cut off “decadent” western-style fashion trends. This crazy, fat tub of goo tyrant would look a lot better with a mullet. Although he’ll need to put several thousand miles on a treadmill before he ever fits in “skinny jeans”.
Finally, President Joe Biden offered no resistance to the renewed construction of an undersea Russian pipeline to Germany. The previous administration issued sanctions on this as a means of curtailing Putin’s march to European influence, using Russian energy as a weapon. Joe has done more to help build pipelines for Russia than he has for building pipelines in America. After the Colonial pipeline was hacked and shutdown, his own Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg said that pipelines were the most effective means of moving energy. Can’t make this up.
When stuff doesn’t add up, it’s as obvious as two plus two equals four. For example, where are all the social media posts praising Biden for his solid leadership on border security, lower energy prices and decreased national crime rates?
