Weasels
In the wake of the horrific flood that devastated the Texas Hill country, media and political weasels have again made their presence known. The term "weasel" refers to someone who is sly, sneaky, and untrustworthy, who operates in a manipulative or self-serving way.
Without a doubt, the biggest weasel in the legacy media is George Stephanopoulos. This pompous, short pile of nastiness reported that the reason the death toll is so high was the Trump Administration’s fault. A former Clinton acolyte who is now the face of ABC News should be publicly excoriated for the following statement he made on his Sunday show, This Week with George Stephanopoulos.
“We’re also learning there were significant staffing shortfalls to the National Weather Service (NWS) offices in the region.”
That statement by him is a total lie, but with him it’s always politics ahead of facts. His falsehood has been debunked. The NWS office in New Braunfels, Texas which delivers forecasts for Austin, San Antonio and the surrounding areas, had extra staff on duty during the storms, reported staff Meteorologist Jason Runyen. According to him the office would typically have two forecasters on duty during clear weather, that night they had five on staff.
Runyen stated, "There were extra people in here that night, and that's typical in every weather service office. You staff up for an event and bring people in on overtime and hold people over".
It is irresponsible to allege that the Trump Administration is at fault for the loss of life, but little Georgie boy wasn’t alone. He was not the only big media name peddling this lie. The usual suspects at CNN, MSNBC, NBC and CBS chimed in with the same talking points. Disgraceful that they didn't wait until after the catastrophe was over.
Then there are the weasels in Congress. Politicians like Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-CA), well known former boyfriend of Chinese honeypot Fang Fang, who ran to the nearest MSNBC broadcast facility to opine that if not for the cuts to the National Weather Service, Texans would have received an “earlier, better warning” of the flood. He echoed Senate Minority Leader Senator Chuck “U” Schumer (D-NY) who blamed layoffs at the NWS in February for the slow response time to the floods. Other Democrats, like lemmings going over a cliff, rushed to make statements that had no basis in fact.
But without a doubt, one of the worst weasels is Democrat Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut. He goes after Trump no matter the issue. His latest rant is about the Guadalupe River disaster in Texas. He was all over the mainstream media with this.
"The fact of the matter is it's possible that Donald Trump's policies had something to do with the level of death and destruction in Texas. This was an exceptional weather event. There's no question there were going to be deaths, but did there have to be as many as there were?"
At no time did this loon check his statement to ensure its credulity. Didn’t check the NWS timeline of warnings. Didn’t he know that the flood was in a rural area in the middle of the night? Murphy is truly hateful individual.
The progressives in the media and their political allies have now discarded any sense of fairness or honesty as they continue their jihad to destroy Donald Trump. In this case, using the Texas tragedy to score political points at the very moment dozens of parents and families were desperately searching for their missing children and relatives.
It is disgusting that we have to tolerate these weasels who seize upon events that no one can prevent, for their own aggrandizement. This is a dark side of our Nation that needs to be exposed and purged.
Fat chance.
