Pot Calls Kettle
“The pot calling the kettle black” has nothing to do with race, this symbolic phrase is associated with hypocrisy. One blames an individual for having a fault when that individual has the same fault. Beginning today the United States Senate will hold an impeachment “trial” for a private citizen, former President Donald J. Trump. This will be a classic case of the pot calling the kettle.
The “pure as driven snow” Democrats will smear Trump and the Republicans for inciting an insurrection based on remarks he made January 6, He said: "I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard”. Never mind there isn’t a provision for this farce in the Constitution. Chief Justice John Roberts, who should preside over this hot mess, will not be on the gavel as he has already expressed his disdain for the proceedings.
Among the House manager prosecutors, marching the one Article of Impeachment to the Senate chambers, will be that legendary legal beagle, Congressmen Eric Swalwell (D) California, noted sufferer of TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) and lover of the Chinese Mata Hari, Fang Fang. The fact that he’s involved is proof positive that Speaker Pelosi is definitely a card or two short of a full deck. Led by a former Constitutional lawyer Rep. Jamie Raskin (D), Maryland, a tale of obfuscated facts befitting a Hans Christian Anderson tale, will be woven by the Democrats seeking to hammer the former President and the 74 million who voted for him
No doubt that hostile remarks and fiery statements used by Democrats during the Trump Administration will be part and parcel of the defense attorney’s strategy. Along with evidence from the FBI, that this event was planned well in advance of the actual “riot”. This will play out as a case of what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. A few of their many inflammatory statements follow.
On the Senate side, one prominent juror will be an alleged inciter of violence, Senator Chuck Schumer (D) of New York. Who can forget his remarks as the Supreme Court considered the constitutionality of a Louisiana abortion clinic regulation in March of 2020? Apparently, the media has forgotten, but here they are anyway.
“I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions. We will tell President Trump and Senate Republicans, who have stacked the court with right-wing ideologues, that you will be gone in November, and you’ll never be able to do this again.”
Shouldn’t he be removed from office for threatening two Supreme Court Justices?
Another juror, Sen. Cory Booker (D) of New Jersey, told activists in July 2018, at the National Conference on Ending Homelessness not to protest from the sidelines. His call to action was, "Before I end, that’s my call to action here. Please don’t just come here today and then go home, go to the Hill today. Get up and please get up in the face of some congresspeople."
Getting “up in the face of some congresspeople”? Wouldn’t that be a threatening gesture?
Rep. Maxine Waters (D) California could be the prohibitive leader when it comes to outrageous threatening rhetoric. In 2017 while speaking at the Ali Forney Gala for LGBT youth In New York she bellowed, “Wow, what a moving evening this is. I’m sitting here listening, watching, absorbing, thinking about Ali even though I never met him. And with that kind of inspiration, I will go and take out Trump tonight.” It’s fairly certain she wasn’t talking about a dinner date.
The vitriolic Ms. Waters again made headlines on June 25, 2018 when she declared to a crowd, “If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere," Is this what one expects from a peace loving, reasonable member of Congress?
Even new Vice President Kamala Harris posted on Facebook June 1, 2020, “If you’re able to, chip in now to the Minnesota Freedom fund to help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota.” Then Senator Harris was solicitating funds for rioters who had destroyed property and injured police officers in the wake of George Floyd’s death. How does this escape the scrutiny of the media? Was she advocating a subsidy for violent behavior last summer?
The reportage of this week’s events will be heavily skewed to the “Trump is the Devil”, “Orange Man Bad” mantras favored by the TDS suffering media. Meanwhile the addlepated, teleprompter reading current President will continue to sign Proclamations, Executive Orders and Directives which only pandered to the far-left elites and continue to ignore the majority of Americans.
