A New Way Forward
As a part of her campaign vision to explain her theme, “A New Way Forward”, Vice President Kamala Harris finally met with the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) for an extended interview in Philadelphia. It was her “make up” appearance meeting with them, Trump already met with them in Chicago. What the Nation was treated to were softball questions, tossed gently over the plate, which Kamala nevertheless managed to miss. She gave some of the most incoherent rambling word salad answers in recent memory. Scripted mishmash.
It brought to mind a response by the school principal to a statement by slacker Billy Madison, in the 1995 cult classic movie of the same name. The principal told Billy the following: “What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.”
The Nation learned exactly nothing new from her NABJ interview, aside from her oft repeated “I grew up in a middle class family”. Kamala’s memorized talking points lack substance, direction or purpose. What exactly would her proposed regime do? What can voters expect based on her previously stated positions?
First, if Kamala Harris is elected, expect big time diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). No doubt about that. Certain groups will be preferred, get more, and receive special treatment. She is the undisputed queen of equity. Harris is a closet socialist who will redistribute federal government funds to DEI favored groups. Kamala wants to give people $25,000 for a down payment on a home and give everybody $6,000, if they have a kid. She squawks endlessly about building an “opportunity economy”. Looks like it’s a limited one. So where’s the money coming from, Kamala?
Tax everybody is her solution. Forget that baloney that if you make less than $400,000, you’re safe from the confiscatory taxes. Kamala is looking to empty your purse or wallet. Corporations will be taxed at higher rates, 28% as opposed to the current 21%. Everybody knows that means increased prices to the consumer who buys the products from any corporation. Companies will be forced to lay off workers because of increased costs. This economic stupidity could lead to a recession because there will be fewer jobs available. And then the government will have to increase the entitlements for the people who don't have a job. Hello socialism.
Next, there’s the border. Does anyone really think she's going to seal the border? She's not. Just look at her stint as “Border Czar”. An abject failure. Kamala will give amnesty to every single undocumented immigrant here, except those who haven’t committed a felony. If you don’t think so, then look up her previous interviews when she was running for the democratic nomination for President in 2020. Television tapes don’t lie. Is she now, when she says the border will be controlled? Using executive orders, she can do a lot of damage. If you think the border was bad under Biden, it will be worse under Harris.
What about the federal criminal justice system over which Kamala has authority? She can eliminate money going into cities that don't cooperate to her redesigned treatment of miscreants. In California if you're a criminal and you steal less than $1,000 you don’t get prosecuted for a felony. It's a misdemeanor. That’s her San Francisco value system when it comes to enforcing the law. That’s why one of America’s most beautiful cities is now widely regarded as a dump and should be avoided. Remember she started her career as District Attorney in San Francisco and Attorney General in California.
Does anyone in their right mind want the Nation to embrace the justice system that she had an active development on in the Golden State? Her views on jurisprudence are not unknown given what she did after the George Floyd killing. Rioters were burning, looting, and assaulting the police in Minneapolis. As a Senator, Kamala tried to raise bail money to get those arrested out. Does this Nation need her values? Don’t think so.
Her foreign policy chops are suspect to say the least. Accounts of her cackling while serving up her famous word salads overseas are well documented and yet the media continues to give her a pass. It is a real stretch trying to imagine this empty pant suit negotiating with the President of El Salvador much less China or Russia. It’s certain that President Xi of China or Vlad the Impaler of Russia will hang on her every word as she tells them about growing up in the middle class. Folks have got to wise up, this woman is no Golda Meir or Margaret Thatcher.
A “New Way Forward” is growing into a rerun SNL skit. Vice President Kamal Harris keeps repeating her memorized talking points over and over. It’s to the point that folks can be fairly certain she hasn’t had an original thought in years. No wonder her campaign is bussing people to her rallies. She’s as dynamic and appealing as a large bowl of borscht.
Nobody in their right mind wants a daily serving of borscht.
