Being Democrat
At some point in time every citizen decides to align themselves with a political party or movement. The majority usually choose to be, Democrats, Independents, Republicans, or affiliate with some other fringe group like the Reformed Druids. In the United States, the Democrats are the party of power in two thirds of the government, controlling the Senate and the Presidency. They are held in check by the Republicans who rule the House of Representatives. So, if you’re a Democrat, what exactly do you stand for? Do you agree with the current party philosophy? Are you happy that the Democrat party is controlled by the “uber” progressives?
The current Democrat party is definitively not the political party of Roosevelt, Truman, Kennedy, Johnson, Carter or even Clinton. At local, state, and national levels where they are in charge, chaos reigns supreme. What! Look around, get beyond the filtered lens of the progressive corporate media which shields their inept and downright stupid governance. Prime examples are abundant and underreported.
Thanks to Joe’s absolute failure to enforce the legal immigration laws of the United States the city of New York is a mess. Over 100,000 illegal immigrants have descended on the city. The cost of sponsoring these unemployed, uneducated, and unskilled people is bankrupting the city. The Democrat Mayor, Alvin Bragg, initially welcomed them because New York is a sanctuary town. Not so much anymore. His solution, call on the guy who created this mess for help, Joe Biden. Alvin is not alone seeking relief from Joe’s failure to maintain the southern border.
Enlightened Democrat leadership continues in San Francisco under Mayor London Breed. America’s most beautiful city has become a third world poop hole as her administration continues the recent Democrat tradition of letting the homeless run wild in the city. The sidewalks are open sewers and cars are routinely broken into by the drug addicted criminals. The previous District Attorney was recalled and replaced; but there has been no demonstrable change in the environment. Los Angeles is no better off. It’s just bigger, so the homeless problem is more spread out. New Democrat Mayor Karen Bass has promised action, but this is the same individual that believes smash and grab robberies are all about commercial gang activity because not enough jobs have been created. Brilliant. Absolutely nothing has been done to date to mitigate the problem.
Know any Republicans that support biological men participating in women’s sports? Only progressive Democrats do. Daily there is some nut in the media trying to convince folks that there is no physical difference between men and women. Hogwash. Yet Riley Gaines, champion swimmer, is continually vilified for her stand against transgender men competing in collegiate sports. Idiots like Keith Olbermann stated she “sucked” at swimming even though she set world’s record in the 200-meter butterfly.
When a deranged white loon shot three innocent blacks in the Dollar General Store in Jacksonville Florida, Democrat Vice President Kamala Harris stated that black citizens were afraid to leave their homes for fear of being shot by white racists. For the Vice President to make such a statement is truly idiotic but then again, she is well known for getting things wrong. In Chicago the vast majority of killings are gang related, black on black shootings. To combat rampant crime, the new Democrat Mayor, Brandon Johnson, has proposed suing Kia and Hyundai for not having stronger anti-theft technology to solve car theft. This nincompoop has done nothing to stop the murder rate of young blacks. There have been no reports of white racists killing black people in Chicago.
If you are a Democrat, do you really believe that the current democrat regime has proposed that we ban the following in the name of climate change? No more gas water heaters, gas cooktops, gas dryers, gas, or oil-fired home furnaces; or that everyone should transition to electric vehicles (EVs). Never mind that most folks can’t afford EVs, and sales are cratering. Or how about the latest insanity, banning electric ceiling fans? These loons actually think that this nation can generate enough electricity from solar and bird/whale killing windmills. No one else in the civilized world is going down this path except the United States. There are no reports from Europe, the Middle East or Asia of such idiotic climate/global warming policies. If there were, the national progressive corporate media would be reporting it with gusto to back up the current batty ideas floating out of the White House.
Anyone notice that the cost of gasoline is shooting up, diesel as well. A reminder, diesel trucks haul food products to your local market. Groceries will soon cost more. Yet has there been any reaction from the White House? Nope. Joe did fuel up Air Force One for another holiday at his beach home. Hope his Corvette has full tank in case he wants to take Jill cruising with the top down, playing Beach Boys hits. He’s relaxing this weekend in anticipation of a trip to The Asian Climate Conference in Vietnam where all the participants will pay lip service to his administration’s global warming solutions. Nothing will come from this conference. Fact.
Make no mistake, it’s ok to be a Democrat but if one actually endorses the lousy governance and the looney ideas resident in today’s Democrat party, then it’s time to rethink affiliation or get active and change the direction. Of course, the Republicans are not Simon pure, but has anyone heard or seen this behavior validated by them.
The Republican party has their fair share of wacky folks, but at least they don’t want to ban ceiling fans.
