Buyer’s Remorse
Everyone who has ever bought any product that didn’t measure up to their expectations has suffered from “Buyer’s Remorse”. A bad car is often referred to as a lemon. Other terms for bad acquisitions are a rip-off, a turkey, a fraud, a swindle, and other terms in colorful language that isn’t fit for polite company. The sense of regret after having made a bad purchase lingers and most folks are vocal about the product that created that regret…except when it comes to their vote.
Biden’s voters and devotees are universally silent about his recent “extraordinary success” in Afghanistan. The latest polls show his popularity sinking faster than the Titanic. Biden won the Democratic nomination because he wasn’t as radical as Bernie Sanders and then won the election because he wasn’t Donald J. Trump. He was also helped by his selection of a progressive woman as Vice President.
It really wasn’t very complicated. It was actually very simple. The national mainstream media hectored Americans daily about President Donald J. Trump and what they deemed, was his chaotic leadership style that obviously wasn’t swamp friendly. These bloviating broadcasters and print reporters manufactured a new daily deception that they, like greasy used car salesmen, sold them shamelessly to America. Then they used their platform to push the election of the great unifiers, the steady hand of Joe Biden and his gender correct running mate Kamala Harris. Now here's the great irony of our time, what did the Republic get by electing this team? A nation divided due to the current chaos in Afghanistan, the southern border debacle, higher consumer prices, accompanied by ample deception, lies and misinformation, created by Joe and his team.
Confronted with a leaked transcript of Joe’s phone conversation with the former President of Afghanistan, Pinocchio Psaki the White House press flack, deflected all questions by stating that she won’t comment on leaked phone calls. Of course, she wouldn’t, because it turns out that Joe was asking the Afghani leader to lie about how things were going when he knew the country was in danger of collapse. Meanwhile he was telling Americans that the well-trained Afghani army had things under control. Joe lied to the Nation, but then again, he has a well-documented history of lying and plagiarism.
Some of the tall tales he’s spun are legendary. Joe said he finished in the top of his law school class. Not true, he was near the bottom. During his first Presidential run in 1987, Biden plagiarized a famous speech from British Labor Party Leader Neil Kinnock. He even ascribed Neil’s life events to his own life. It doomed that run for the office. One of his most egregious lies was about the tragic auto accident in 1972 that cost the lives of his first wife and daughter. Joe Biden immediately claimed that the driver of the semi that hit the Bidens, was drunk at the time of the accident. Not true. The investigation determined that Biden’s wife failed to yield the right of way, the truck driver put his own life in jeopardy when he attempted to avoid striking the Biden’s car, and after the accident stayed to aid the victims. There was absolutely no evidence whatsoever supporting Joe Biden’s claim. During a meeting last week with some prominent Rabbis, in advance of the Jewish New Year, he claimed he was active in the 1960s civil rights movement. Not true, he had already admitted that was a lie when he was called on it in 1987. Also, while meeting with the same Jewish leaders, he mentioned that he went to the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburg after innocents were slaughtered in 2018 by a deranged gunman. That’s a bold face lie, he was never there. Of course, the major media didn’t cover this latest prevarication. How can we trust that anything Joe says is true, about Afghanistan, the economy or his dog’s behavioral problems? Maybe he just doesn’t know what he’s saying? If so, that’s frightening.
The bill of goods the media sold the country made him out to be an old softy, a modest guy who’s a sentimental man with deep feelings for the plight and suffering of others. He certainly didn’t show that side at the Dover Airbase while constantly checking his watch as caskets of fallen soldiers were unloaded from military transport aircraft. Nor did he sound like one in his angry speech about the “extraordinary success” of his withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Did anyone expect that Joe would be this inept? With fifty years in Washington, one would think that he knew how to manage the levers of power. This is clearly not the case. No one could have predicted the hot mess he has created. His supporters obviously didn't think he could be this incompetent, that’s for sure. The truth is the Joe Biden is a failing, addlebrained man living in a world of self-created delusion. His pals in the media are scrambling trying to figure how to protect him and find a way to blame their favorite villain for all the chaos, Donald J. Trump. The cold hard facts are plain to thinking citizens…that dog won’t hunt.
This Presidency is a classic example of the “bait and switch” tactic used by an unscrupulous salesperson or by the wise talking heads on the nightly news who are the submissive messengers of the progressives DC swamp dwellers. How Joe Biden was depicted by his media and campaign partisans, and what the country got, is as different as night and day. And it’s rather dark.
The darkness over the Republic created by this faux Presidential pretender has led to a foreign policy debacle in Afghanistan, an illegal immigration disaster on the southern border, higher energy costs, increased food prices and inflation slowly taking its toll on the working class. Joe Biden is no friend of Joe Sixpack.
One of the greatest busts in automotive history was the Ford Edsel. Edsel became synonymous with failure. Simply put, the country bought an Edsel and got sold a bill of goods in the process. There is palatable buyer/voter remorse, so pick one term for what this President, is or what the Nation got in November of 2020, and it will fit.
