Carrying Joe…
The war in Afghanistan was officially over Monday, according to Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Department of Defense spokesmen, who told the American people the news, not the President of the United States. Nope Joe issued an inane paper statement regarding the end of American involvement. Not only can’t he take questions, but he didn’t have the wherewithal to get out in front of the teleprompter and tell the Nation that we have ended our conflict in that medieval country. He left that to others.
The chaos created by Joseph R. Biden’s leadership will continue unless he is no longer in office, or he is neutered in the 2022 midterms. The consensus that he is diminished is readily apparent to anyone who has seen an elderly relative slide into the tragic fog of cognitive failure. He has an event and announces that he’s not supposed to answer questions, then he takes one and won’t answer it. A press conference finds him with a list of who he can call on. Planted questions from a compliant pool of journalists determined to protect him from his own failings. The media carried him to victory in a stunning campaign of gaslighting Donald Trump while propping Joe up in his Delaware basement.
Fifty years of government service and yet one would be hard pressed to find any significant legislation or writings that would qualify him as a “Lion of the Senate”. His nickname was “Senator Credit Card” when he represented Delaware, because of his cozy relationships with MBNA and many other banking companies incorporated in his home state. Joe never met a lobbyist he didn’t like, as witnessed by the shifty deals son Hunter has been involved in, it’s not surprising that the entire family traded heavily on his status as a United States Senator.
So, what does all this mean? There are three years and five months of his Presidency left and like it or not, the doddering geezer needs to be carried over the finish line. The alternative is the cackling woke hen who had to drop out of the Presidential sweepstakes, before one primary vote was cast. Kamala Harris was so unpopular in her home state, that she was on track to get smoked when California voted. Sadly, she is uniquely unqualified to be President as evidenced by the gaffes on her first foreign trip overseas and her ongoing mismanagement of the border crises…also created by her boss Joe. Don’t even think that third-in-line to the Presidency, Speaker Nancy Pelosi is an alternative. The country must press on with a “Weekend at Bernie’s” administration.
Americans need to gird themselves for continued unintelligible remarks, gaffes, indifferent narcissism, and incompetent leadership. Leaders don’t blame others for their screw-ups, nor do they focus on their own personal trials in public. A stark example of this indifference comes from two parents of Marines killed at the Kabul airport. They were not impressed after meeting President Biden at Dover Air Force Base, where the aircraft landed bearing their son’s remains.
Mark Schmitz, father of Missouri Marine Jared Schmitz said their meeting didn’t go well, and when interviewed offered the following. "Initially, I wasn't going to meet with him, but then I felt I owed it to my son to at least have some words with him about how I felt – and it didn't go well. He talked a bit more about his own son than he did my son, and that didn't sit well with me." Those who thought Joe would be good at empathy are wrong.
Darin Hoover, father of Utah Marine Darin Taylor Hoover, Jr. was less than pleased with the President’s demeanor. Most have seen the Biden photograph of him checking his watch during the ceremony. Hoover declared that the President looked down at his watch not once but several times as the caskets were being offloaded. “That didn't happen just once. It happened on every single one that came out of that airplane. It happened on every single one of them. They would release the salute, and he would look down at his watch on every last one, all 13, he looked down at his watch." That behavior, at the least, revealed a glaring absence of compassion toward the heartbroken families. Just unbelievable conduct.
Joe stumbled through a FEMA meeting focused on Hurricane Ida. At one point he referred to one of his black senior advisors saying, “I’m here with my senior advisor and boy who knows Louisiana very, very well, man — and New Orleans and — Cedric Richmond.” [White House Transcript] You know the press would have gone batsh*t crazy if former President Trump has said “boy”, but Joe gets a pass. The foregoing are just the latest examples of his unconscious, diminished conduct as the Nation and the World looks on.
Today Joe yelled, then semi whispered at the Nation, as he read prepared remarks from the ubiquitous teleprompter. He blamed Trump three separate times for the “bad deal” he inherited, a provable lie as verified by several sources and the actual four-page document executed in Qatar. Joe then bloviated on how difficult the mission was, and how diplomacy will be used to get the remaining American citizens stranded in Afghanistan. He called the mission an “extraordinary success”. He remained committed to the rights of the Afghan women who under the Taliban will find themselves living in a medieval gulag. Joe assured us that our Allies and the United Nations would pressure the Taliban on that matter. Right…that’ll work. His speech was slurred, mangled and at times confused, full of half-truths and outright lies. His attempt to wrap this debacle up and move on fell flat, even as he again brought up his late son Beau who served in Iraq in a non-combat role. Beau died of brain cancer unrelated to his service. A politician’s pathetic, crass attempt to generate empathy. Joe took no questions and left it up to Jen “Pinocchio” Psaki to respond to the Press.
This “extraordinary success” has caused 90 retired Generals and Admirals to call for the resignations of the Defense Secretary Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs General Miley. They aren’t the only ones who should resign.
Biden’s management of the withdrawal has been despicable, cowardly, and enabled by a staff of incompetent syncopates who are clueless progressives, hell bent on destroying American greatness. It is one of the most epic foreign policy failures in America history and he owns it. Joe Biden’s cognitive capacity is fading daily. Hopefully the 2022 midterms will find the “adults” back in charge of the Congress, to stop the destructive march by the puppet masters running this tired old man.
But like it or not, old Joe must be carried to the finish line, with an occasional stop for an ice cream cone.
