Choosing Sides

As sure as the sun rises in the east, anything that President Trump does, the Democrats and their fellow travelers will oppose it.  Frankly, if Trump cured acne, Democrats would claim the pimples are beauty marks. The ongoing confrontation between the United States and Iran has become a significant test of wills. Those who rail against the decision to eliminate a twelfth century barbaric theocratic regime wail that the United States is “putting their sons and daughters in harm’s way”. That’s the latest catch phrase crafted in the progressive Democrat Georgetown thinktanks. Legacy media pundits and disingenuous politicians repeat it endlessly.

Too many viewers of broadcast shows like “The View”, anything on CNN or MSNOW (formerly MSNBC) are daily recipients of misleading and outright false information regarding the heinous nature of the Iranian Regime. Little has been reported in the mainstream media about the estimated 30,000 young people executed within the last month by the Mullahs. They were slaughtered protesting the repressive nature of the zealots running that country. Look no further than the reporting of CNN’s Kaitlan Collins who consistently goes out of her way to put the Trump Administration in a bad light. Her accusatory reportage smacks of hope for American failure. This ongoing media conflict is not just about policy; it reflects deeper divisions regarding the fundamental values and priorities of the Nation. Trump's opponents are not necessarily angry because they have better solutions, but because they do not want his Administration to succeed.

The legacy media also fails to emphasize that Iran, led by religious extremists for the last 47 years, has continued to pursue nuclear weapons and maintain a missile and drone program designed to deter intervention. Despite having their facilities destroyed by precision bombing in June of 2025, they renewed their pursuit of weapons of mass destruction. Anyone with an IQ higher than a hummingbird knows that the world will be safer when these radical clerics no longer possess such capabilities.

Doomsayer David Muir of ABC News, whose recent nightly broadcast was full of negativity, reported that Iran had 2,000 ballistic missiles left to fire. Baloney. No responsible military analyst is opining that fact. Two of the world's two most powerful air forces have significantly dismantled Iran's ability to threaten neighboring countries. This puerile media “gotcha” coverage by an ideological press harms America.

The NATO Secretary General emphasized that global opposition to the U.S. is overstated, and many allies support actions taken to neutralize Iran's nuclear and missile programs. President Trump's decision to take military action was applauded by international colleagues, reinforcing the belief that the West is safer as a result. The Iranians believed that by causing maximum economic harm to the region and the United States, fellow Gulf nations would ultimately pressure President Trump to claim victory and withdraw. That strategy has failed spectacularly since the Mullah morons attacked all their neighbors with missiles and drones.

Gas prices today are higher than they were a year ago, a development unlikely to please President Trump. Nonetheless, the Administration views these fluctuations as temporary, maintaining the position that the U.S. will determine the timeline of events, not Iran. Now that the Iranian Navy has been destroyed, safe passage for tankers that carry 20% of the world’s oil supply will shortly resume through the Straits of Hormuz.

The U.S. has signaled its readiness to continue military actions, emphasizing that the scope and intensity of attacks will change as needed. Secretary of State Rubio faced criticism from the press and Democrats for comments regarding last Saturday's strikes.  He effectively tamped their coordinated talking points down. Rubio also highlighted the President's willingness to risk his own political standing to ensure American security, even when the nuclear threat was not imminent and despite criticism from domestic opponents.

The timing of the operation was guided by the opportunity for maximum success, in view of the Iranians refusal to negotiate an end to their hostile ambitions, not by Israel's plans as some claim. Intelligence generated by the CIA and Israel’ s Mossad pinpointed a breakfast meeting of the Ayatollah and his leadership team. A plan already in place was executed and the Breakfast Club met their 72 virgins. The U.S. is systematically targeting Iran's remaining nuclear enrichment sites, missile factories, navy, and its ability to sponsor terrorism. These efforts are expected to achieve their objectives, though not without cost. Sadly, six American servicemen were killed when a missile hit their installation in Kuwait.

Meanwhile, domestic political discourse is polarized. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Senate Minority Leader Senator Chuck “U” Schumer are still refusing to support fully funding the Department of Homeland Security.  It’s an important agency given possibility of domestic attacks by Islamic sleeper cells that may be in the country. Hakeem has even predicted failure for the U.S. Military campaign in Iran.  Who has ever heard of a leading member of the Democratic party speaking this kind of traitorous rhetoric?

The debate is not simply between interventionists and isolationists, or Trump versus segments of his base; it is fundamentally between those who believe America is good and should act to protect itself and its interests, and those who see America as corrupt and should only act with international approval.

Americans certainly should choose sides on policies they believe are destructive.  Disent should be based on reality, not Kool-Aid-driven partisan politics fueled by Trump Derangement Syndrome.
