Control
Lately, there seems to be a widespread use of the word “control” …travel control, gun control, border control, election control, school control, but precious little about self-control. In a free society, the members are required to have a maximum of self-control and therefore get a minimum of government control. The vast majority of the Nation’s citizens practice control in their everyday lives, those who don’t, are subjects of law enforcement.
The latest control sought by the Biden administration is the “Vaccine Passport”, to be issued by various local and state governments, including the Federal authorities. This nonsense is under consideration for travel and commercial activities during the pandemic. These “passports” are meant to control what you can do, where you can go and how much the government will know about your activities. “Show me your Papers” is the hallmark of a repressive government. It doesn’t get much more dystopian than being required to show your “papers” wherever you go.
Fortunately, the Nation has some sane leadership like Florida Governor Ron DeSantis who will be taking executive action against vaccine passports, if necessary. When asked about this heinous policy he said, “You want the fox to guard the hen house? I mean, give me a break... We are not going to have you provide proof of this just to be able to live your life.”
Privacy is a right guaranteed in the founding documents of the United States.
The tragedies of Boulder and Atlanta have renewed the call for gun control. The opining on this continues ad nauseum in the media and the halls of congress. This is a societal human self-control issue. The second amendment of the constitution doesn’t address this problem.
Border control is a paramount concern. Democrat Congressman Henry Cuellar and Republican Senator Ted Cruz, both of Texas, released pictures and videos of the concentration camp look where the illegal immigrates are being housed. The situation is so bad that the Border Patrol and Homeland Security are releasing these trespassers in adjacent cities, letting the responsibility for these individuals to fall on small local governments. Meanwhile, construction on the border fence, already paid for, has ceased by an executive order, issued by a clueless President and his minders without regard to the consequences.
Currently, all one hears coming from the Biden-Harris Administration is the sound of crickets. Prior statements have been provable lies as to the scope of the crisis and the causation of it. The hypocrisy of this administration is astounding. At a time when they say they are committed to transparency, they have given the press staged access to border patrol facilities. But today, the press did get into a facility where those in charge did say that they were 700% over capacity. The images were horrifying at the least. Where’s the accountability for this human tragedy? When will the “media” get it, assign the problem to Biden who created it, then start a clarion call for the border to be closed and regulated? A fair guess would be…when pigs fly.
When HR-1, the Democratic Progressive Liberal Voting Rights bill, was proposed by Speaker Pelosi and her posse, the contents of it were transformational with respect to national elections. Control of that process to be seized from the states. The call accelerated for passage when Georgia passed their voting rights bill. Biden cried that it was the return of “Jim Crow” laws, when in fact his home state has more restrictive voting procedures than Georgia. Even the Washington Post fact checked Biden’s claim and opined, “The law did make some changes to early voting. But experts say the net effect was to expand the opportunities to vote for most Georgians, not limit them.” A miraculous statement from the Post, ranking along with the parting of the Red Sea by Moses.
It's clearly apparent that the teachers’ unions control the education system in the majority of the country. These unions have dictated how and when the schools will open regardless of the “science” or vaccination progress. These union activists’ loons have even volunteered to teach “in person” the illegal immigrant children housed in the San Diego convention center, while the children of that distinct are stuck in “Zoom” schools. This is a verifiable fact that one can’t make up. The disservice to the Nation’s children as a result of the union’s intransigence is tragic. Schools are not the super spreader hotbeds of the pandemic, according to most scientists and medical authorities, although if Dr. Fauci were to be consulted, it’s a certainty that more of his contrarian quackery would be heard.
Control of the government and its policies is the responsibility of the voting citizens. Ignorance of who’s in charge and their governance is no excuse. Remaining asleep at the switch is what German citizens did during the 1930’s. Everyone knows how that turned out.
