FAFO

The acronym FAFO is defined as “F**k Around, Find Out”. According to the trades (Hollywood term) Jimmy Kimmel got his underwear in a massive wad when he was informed that his late-night show on ABC had been suspended. This happened because of his callous remarks about the death of Charlie Kirk during Monday night’s monolog.  Here’s what he said.

“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them.”

Not satisfied with that bullschiff, he also criticized flags being flown at half-mast in honor of Kirk and mocked the President's reaction to the shooting. He piled on and said, "This is not how an adult grieves the murder of someone he calls a friend. This is how a four-year-old mourns a gold fish."

There was nothing comedic in his monolog, only unadulterated lies and left-wing venom.

Disney/ABC had no choice but to pull late-night Jimmy Kimmel Live off the air indefinitely over those comments in response to mounting complaints. "Jimmy Kimmel Live will be pre-empted indefinitely," a spokesperson for the Disney-owned network said. They were reacting to their affiliate stations who receive thousands of protest calls in the wake of Kimmel’s ill-timed remarks. This was about revenue not his idiotic opinions.

What advertiser wants to market his product on such a hate filled venue? This was all about the money and the millions of ABC viewers who have had enough, not a vendetta by the President against a late-night TV loon.  Stephen Colbert’s Late Night got cancelled because it was losing 40 million dollars a year, not because of his visceral loathing of President Trump.

Nexstar which owns and operates 32 ABC affiliates in large and midsize markets, said Kimmel’s remarks about Kirk’s death and his followers were beyond the pale. Andrew Alford, president of Nexstar’s broadcasting division, called Kimmel’s comments “offensive and insensitive at a critical time in our national political discourse.” Sinclair Broadcasting, which owns and operates 30 ABC stations, also had said it would no longer carry Kimmel’s show.

FCC chairman Brendan Carr said “I can’t imagine another time when we’ve had local broadcasters tell a national programmer like Disney that your content no longer meets the needs and the values of our community. So, this is an important turning point.” Wednesday’s move was unprecedented but the committed left wants to blame Trump because everything they don’t like is his fault.

They’re not losing their jobs to cancel culture, they’re losing them as a consequence of their unbelievable stupidity and failure to appeal to ordinary Americans. Building audience appeal for only the East and West Coast liberal elites in not a recipe for success. Jay Leno and Johnny Carson knew that and were even-handed when giving politicians some late-night jazz.

Penalties and culpability are something progressive dems haven’t had to face in a lately. Now one of their loudmouthed broadcast icons, masquerading as a comedian, is getting his just desserts. Do these small-minded, progressive dipsticks not realize that a young man was assassinated for what he said and believed in?  No different than the murders of Martin Luther King Jr., Abraham Lincoln or John Fitzgerald Kennedy.  All were men who said or did things that some sick nut couldn’t tolerate. Kimmel’s Monday night monolog failed spectacularly to resonate with middle America.

The usual suspects in the Democratic party are howling over Jimmy’s suspension.  Senator Chuck “U” Schummer was beside himself calling for FCC Chairman Carr’s resignation. He said that he was a threat to free speech. Someone tell this hack that America was fed up with Kimmel, not Carr. Then there’s Eric Swalwell showing up on CNN wearing a Jimmy Kimmell Live hat. The Democratic lawmaker said Kimmel had a "right to be a comedian." That’s great Eric…if he were a comedian instead of a leftist loudmouth. By the way, when was the last time Kimmel or Colbert had a conservative on their program?

This same scenario played out all across the legacy media as the pundits forgot that a young father and influencer was murdered because he challenged their ingrained narrative. Jimmy Kimmel is an entitled agitator who left the ranks of comedy years ago. This isn’t a free speech issue, it’s a business decision.

As Michael Corleone would have said, "It's not personal, Jimmy. It's strictly business"
