A Tipping Point
The shocking assassination of Charlie Kirk has altered the political landscape in America. More folks are now paying attention to the hateful rhetoric coming from the political left. Obviously, the beneficiaries will initially be conservative, traditional Americans because the liberal bunch is really struggling to find a message that resonates. Their extremism has damaged the progressive democratic party without a doubt. Liberalism is on the run in America, no question.
Sadly, there are still many who Americans simply don’t want to hear opinions other than their own. They will not engage in thoughtful dialog with those who have opposite views. It's easy to understand. It’s born out of insecurity, because there is no disputing the values that Charlie Kirk espoused, faith, family and country. The core values that the left has done everything they could to suppress, through their enablers in the legacy media they have created a cognitive dissonance that makes communication impossible.
Despite their allies in the media, the Democrats in all their permutations are sinking in the polls. They can’t articulate any position on the economy, trade, energy, crime, or education because they don’t have any clear, verifiable positions. They would rather rely on the likes of Jimmy Kimmel to honk for them, lately assisted by the failed governor of California Gavin “Hair Gel” Newsom and former actor now turned loon, Robert DeNiro. Kimmel is back on the air although Sinclair Broadcasting and Nexstar refused to air his show until he honestly apologizes for lying about Kirk’s assassin’s background.
Sounding defiant and sometimes emotional, Kimmel failed yet again to apologize for his false and inflammatory comments about Charlie Kirk’s assassination. Instead, he danced around the controversy that led to the show's suspension while slamming Trump and the FCC. He offered that he posted on Instagram his condolences that day, meant no disrespect to Charlie Kirk and acknowledged that Erika Kirk forgave the shooter. He did thank his supporters that free speech had prevailed. Has it?
The contrived free speech controversy that caused 400 celebrities to sign a petition to get Kimmel back on the air is laughable. Would these same 400 sign a petition for the Disney owned network to put any conservative guests on his program? Kimmel hasn’t had a conservative/traditional guest on his program in well over 3 years, maybe more. The same holds true for Colbert and Fallon, although Fallon shocked the world when he had Greg Gutfeld of Fox on recently.
The number one book on the New York Times bestsellers list is “Confronting Evil” written by Bill O’ Reilly. Have you seen him on the morning shows, the late-night shows or any of the daytime interview programs? The answer is no. On the other hand, Kamala Harris has a book out, “107 Days”, an accounting of her failed Presidential campaign. Kamala and her infamous word salads are all over the networks, legacy and cable. Someone define free speech given this fact. It’s really non-existent. O’Reilly is suppressed and Harris is hailed. The upside is that the former Vice President reinforces the narrative that she would have been an unmitigated disaster as President.
The tipping point this Nation is at continues to be reinforced. The murders at the ICE facility in Dallas is just another example how the hate speech coming from Kimmel’s side of the political spectrum is ginning up radical loons to take violent action. The despicable name calling, referring to political opponents as Nazis, Gestapo agents, Hitler and the like, which is primarily resident in the leftist progress Democrat party, is behavior that most analysts believe contributes to the surge in radical’s violent activities.
The tragic death of Charlie Kirk was a significant tipping point. It galvanized the traditional thinking citizens who beforehand had paid scant attention to the shenanigans of the leftist movement. Now folks are keenly aware of the threat these nuts are to civil society. And like the anchorman Howard Beale in the movie Network, during a televised rant against the state of American society, folks are shouting:
"I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!”
That’s why Kimmel got suspended, that’s why there’s a massive uptick in interest in new Turning Point USA chapters, and an outcry against vicious name calling. Normal America doesn’t need Kimmel’s brand of biased “comedy” or Governor Tim Walz calling ICE the Gestapo or Governor Gavin Newscom tweeting about his views on solving illegal immigration when California is a colossal mess because of it.
A Tipping Point for the USA has been reached…finally.
