Pumping Mud
"Shut her down, Ned, she's pumping mud" is a phrase derived from East Texas oilfield slang. It refers to when an oil derrick pump that starts to extract mud instead of oil. It needs to be stopped. The expression is often used as a humorous or informal way to indicate a system has crashed or is in a bad state. It can be appropriately applied to the current state of the Federal government.
Thanks to Senator Chuck “U” Schumer (D-NY) the government is shut down and in a bad state. Since the beginning of time, it seems that legislation has been needed to continue funding the Federal government while the congressional brain surgeons work out a solution to their seemingly wasteful spending. Apparently the AOC (Rep. Sandy Cortez, D-NY) wing of the Democratic party is not pleased that the “Big Beautiful Bill” that passed congress earlier this year eliminated health care subsidies for illegal immigrants.
Chuck caved to their demands that it be included in the continuing resolution to fund the government. He’s also terrified that Sandy Cortez will run against him in 2028.
Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) admitted in an interview that her party wants to fund healthcare for illegals which they are never supposed to actually admit on camera. To which Sen John Kennedy (D-LA) replied, “We’re going to have a government shutdown. Why? Because the loon wing of the Democratic Party is mad at Chuck Schumer, and Chuck wants them to love him.”
When will this bunch realize that the American Taxpayer is not responsible to fund healthcare for those who broke into this Nation illegally? The previous administration’s malfeasance created this crisis by allowing the borders to be wide open, and further incentivized illegal immigration by giving the illegals free healthcare when they got here. Enough.
In 1993 congressional testimony Hillary Clinton said, “We do not think the comprehensive health care benefits should be extended to those who are undocumented workers and illegal aliens. We do not want to do anything to encourage more illegal immigration. We don’t want them having the same benefits that American citizens are entitled to have.”
She was right then and still right today. Wise up, Chuck.
The US Military in another institution that “has crashed or is in a bad state”. While recruiting quotas are up, there’s still a lot of work needed to eliminate all the “woke” nonsense that the Biden Regime permitted.
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth summoned senior military commanders from all over the world to a meeting this week in Quantico, Virginia. He laid out the Trump administration’s vision for the American armed forces. That vision is to create a force that will defend the republic, not nation build or practice social experimentation.
“When it comes to jobs that require physical power, standards must be high/gender neutral. If women can make it, excellent; if not, it is what it is. If that means fewer women qualify, so be it. No more identity months no more DEI garbage, dudes in dresses no more climate change worship no more division, distraction, or gender delusions no more debris, we are done with that shit." No more fat nail polish wearing troops or Generals.
The View ladies predictably said he was “fat shaming”. The legacy media did find a General who bashed the speech because the progressive left doesn't like the War Department or Hegseth or Trump or anything else to do with the military. So, MSNBC trots out a Lieutenant General, Mark Hurtling, (retired) who opined:
“I first of all, I think we ought to address the atmospherics. We're talking about a huge American flag behind the speakers. That's reminiscent of the opening scene from the movie Patton, which President Trump has said he absolutely loves. I don't think that flag is normally there at the Quantico, excuse me, museum, but we'll see. In terms of the what Secretary Hegseth has said, those were anticipated, as well as what the president is doing. It's anticipated. These are the kinds of speeches the president has given at Fort Bragg in front of a roaring group of soldiers who all said they were supporters of his."
Research reveals that Hurtling is a very left-wing military guy, who confessed at the end of his commentary, "Not only as a soldier, but now as a citizen of Florida. I'm woke." MSNBC evidently couldn’t find a general who liked what the Secretary had to say. That should not be a surprise.
A recent Gallup poll revealed that 70% of Americans don’t trust the mainstream legacy media. The folks don’t get both sides of any issue, whether it’s the military or the shutdown.
That’s why we need to stop pumping mud.
