Gone With The Wind

The opening prologue of the great MGM film, “Gone With The Wind”, now banned by HBO Max because the corporate suits that run it are woke. Woke?  What is woke…no longer does it mean the end of sleep. Now it means not being oblivious, ignorant to the condition of, the issues that affect black America.

The ongoing protests are being spearheaded by the Black Lives Mater and now the Antifa leftists have joined them.  The murder of George Floyd supplanted by the revolutionary calls for changing America into their vision of how the country should be, to make our current civilization just a memory, of a perceived and suppressive nasty government. What complete nonsense promulgated by these clowns.

Margaret Mitchell’s novel the Old South told a tale of the Civil War from one fictional perspective. A war that over 360,000 Union and 258,000 Confederate soldiers died fighting over the end of slavery. According to some, that war still rages over systemic racism, poor schools, a corrupt justice system, police misconduct, discrimination in hiring and housing. 

Woke practitioners know everything that hurts the black community, except the obvious. Banning GWTW does not improve the conditions that spawn violence in the inner city. Our woke Democrat politicians drape themselves in West African Kente cloth, kneel in the Capitol Rotunda for 8 minutes and 46 seconds and then think they’ve done a great service to Black Americans. Since the 1960’s they’ve had ample opportunity to make a difference and solve these problems as they controlled congress. 50 years of pandering bullshot, all the while, telling the black community that only the Democrats could solve the problem. They haven’t done squat. 

The Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement is laser focused on police murder, but not on the black-on-black crime.  Now this organization is calling for Police Departments to be defunded. Last weekend in Chicago 27 black Americas were killed, 92 were wounded, not one by the police. Now that's a real problem. Don’t Black lives matter when there is Black on Black murder? Don’t they want these killings to end? Maybe the Chicago police could make a difference if leftist Mayor Lightfoot would support and encourage them. Crickets.

The civil rights act of 1964 was only passed with votes from Republicans in the US Senate because all the democrat senators from the South opposed it. Democrat Senator Richard Byrd, who voted against the bill, was a former Exalted Cyclops and Grand Wizard in the Klu Klux Klan, yet the media paints Republicans as racists. With what proof?

Progress on racial matters will not be improved by removing statures, renaming military bases, banning movies and books or defunding law enforcement. The Nazis burned books (Kristallnacht) and removed statues. Joseph Stalin did the same during his reign of terror. These actions do not change the actual history only obfuscate it.  This is the beginning of dystopian madness.

What does that say about the current dialog we hear form the “peaceful protestors”?  If you dare to disagree, these BLM and Antifa thugs will do everything they can to ruin you and yours, attack your person and property.  These criminals have taken over a portion of Seattle, declared their liberation from the city, extorting money from businesses, after the police abandoned a precinct.  No wonder national guns sales are at record levels.

This insanity is broadcast 24/7 and printed without regard to the consequences.  The vast majority of the citizens of the United States, regardless of color or creed, will see enough and then there will be a backlash. Folks will not live in chaos led by real haters and destroyers.  The peaceful protestors of the murdered George Floyd have long since been cast aside, mutated into those who seek to create a leftist socialist Marxist world.

If we allow these anarchists to continue their assault on our society then we will soon be… “A civilization gone with the wind…”
