Hypocrisy

In the toney suburb of Washinton DC is a tight knit progressive community that is home to the Democrat elites who continually think they know what policies are best for the United States domestically and in the world, the Georgetown Geniuses. These smug intellectuals get together daily and recommend “talking points” for Democrat politicians and media pundits.  Their latest two phrases/points that are being amplified, “War Criminal” and “Invoke the 25th Amendment”.

With respect to the War Criminal narrative that’s being repeated ad nauseum, what does constitute a war crime? These actions include intentionally targeting civilians, torturing or murdering prisoners of war, using banned weapons such has chemical agents, pillaging, and destroying civilian infrastructure without military necessity. So far there is no hard evidence that the United States has, at the direction of the President, committed any of these acts.

President Trump’s threat to destroy the Persian civilization was evidently the only language that the Islamic zealots understood and resulted in a cease fire. Yet there are some who continue to caterwaul the cry of war crimes. The daily drumbeat of this dialog is disingenuous and lacking foundation.  Misleading the citizens without empirical proof is a media crime.

Let’s start with one of the loudest Democrat voices, Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ) who has said, "I'm a guy who used to drop bombs on buildings and bridges and ships..." According to what he apparently believes today, along with his fellow deranged Democrats, he committed war crimes during Desert Storm. Well Mark, did you commit war crimes or are you just another partisan hack suffering from TDS? He’s seen strutting around in a flight jacket and flaunts his combat missions, but by his own definition today he is a war criminal.

The TDS suffering troglodytes would have folks believe that Operation Epic Fury was all Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s idea.  Then we heard it was done in typical Trump style, shoot from the hip because he’s a maniac who does whatever pops into his head. These haters will say he picks one plan one day then he picks the total opposite the other, because he doesn't think things through. Thus, the genesis for “Invoke the 25th Amendment” and take him out. Certified nuts like Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) who daily rail about his unfitness for office, ignored the potted plant that Joe Biden was. Everyone inside the Beltway knew that Joe didn’t know Tuesday from Saturday, including Chris. The 25th Amendment talk is especially unhinged.

Aiding and abetting this nonsense are over 70 Democrats led by Rep. Jaime Raskin (D-MD) who are now pushing to declare Trump unfit because he dared threaten to wipe out Iran's nuclear ambitions if they didn't fold.  A newsflash for these ignoramuses, the 25th isn't a veto button for sore losers who hate strong leadership. It requires the Vice President and Cabinet to act, not a bunch of out-of-power whiners.

But a new report in the New York Times tells a much more nuanced story about his decision-making process that involved a presentation from Netanyahu’s team followed by a serious review and consultation with the President's most trusted advisors. The intelligence officials broke down Netanyahu’s presentation into four parts. First was decapitation, killing the Ayatollah. Second was crippling Iran’s capacity to project power and threaten its neighbors. Third was a popular uprising inside Iran. Fourth was a regime change with a secular leader installed to govern the country. President Trump appeared to remain very interested in accomplishing parts one and two and he stuck with it. Iran has cried “Uncle”.

Naturally, you would never know this if you listened to House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-MD). He has been at the forefront of the “Trump-has-to-go” movement because this war is “illegal and unnecessary”. He got a simple question from Fox’s Bill Melugin. “Pelosi said Obama didn’t need Congress to bomb Libya. Now Democrats say Trump does. What changed?”  Jeffries dodged, said the question wasn’t in good faith. Melugin fired back. “Libya lasted seven months”. The room went quiet. Different rules depending on who’s in charge. Hypocrisy exposed.

The real problem is two-fold, a deep seeded hatred of all things Trump by the progressive left and an obsession with his social media posts.  They haven’t figured out why this President posts outrageous statements, it's the language of toughness that ordinary folks understand along with the Iranians. His threat to obliterate the Persian civilization was crude. It was typical Trump tough talk in English, and it translated well in fluent Farsi. There was no possible ceasefire by Iran the day before that tweet. Peace in the Middle East will be welcome. It’s a different world and Trump speaks the language fluently.

Unfortunately, live time coverage of the battlefield and sheer enemy propaganda is being reported as fact by the American print and broadcast media.
Their distribution of this Iranian propaganda is a disgrace, another low for the Fourth Estate.

The legacy media would also have you believe that Trump has accepted the Iranian 10-point peace plan because he’s a “TACO” (Trump Always Chickens Out). That is their latest Georgetown talking point, which is complete bullschiff.  What is on the table…Trump’s 15-point plan which concedes nothing to the Iranians.

Despite the fact that Iran has been beaten like a rented mule, the politicians and pundits are still spending too much time clutching their pearls about the tweeted use of the F Bomb, rather than worrying about crazy Muslim zealots with a nuclear bomb.
