Look, Here’s the Deal
Over the last couple of years, the current President has treated us to the one of his favorite phrases, “Look, here’s the deal”, when he wanted to make an everyman point. It’s something you would hear on a used car lot from a slick sales guy pitching you to buy a used Yugo.
So, “Look, here’s the deal”. This isn’t some sham car lot deal we’re talking about. According to the latest court filings released Friday by Special Counsel John Durham, Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann worked alongside tech executive Rodney Jaffe to bug the Trump Tower. They hacked campaign computer servers and the White House ones as well when he became President. It was spying and its illegal.
Meanwhile, the mainstream media have spent exactly zero minutes reporting the latest disclosures in their evening primetime broadcast news programs. Bob Woodward who broke Watergate scandal, became famous and now an associate editor for the Washington Post is MIA. Same holds true for Maggie Haberman the diva political reporter for the New York Times and CNN commentator, has evidently decided to report on the latest recipes from Martha Stewart. As for the Los Angeles Times, they’re busy excoriating Mayor Garcetti for being mask-less at the Super Bowl. If there was ever any doubt that the corporate media is in the tank for the Swamp and the Clintons, it’s plainly gone now. Isn't this spying almost exactly what happened in the Watergate fiasco in 1972? Except this is a scandal on steroids by comparison.
How come this story is under reported? Why the news blackout? Simple, because the liberal media, broadcast and print, heavily promoted the bogus Russian-Collusion baloney and the salacious Steele dossier which accused Trump of inappropriate behavior in Moscow. Former FBI director Robert Mueller spent two years on a bogus investigation that revealed nothing remotely prosecutable. Reporters from The New York Times and The Washington Post shared a Pulitzer Prize for national reporting in what now appears to be biased and inaccurate coverage of the Trump campaign alleged interference with the 2016 election. With Durham’s revelations, a claim we now know was a complete hoax. Are these iconic newspapers going to return the prize? Fat chance. They don't want any exposure or admission of that they practiced journalistic malfeasance.
Maybe the corporate progressive media will recompence by accurately covering the Durham filings. Unfortunately, in this disconnected political climate, that’s not going to happen. The Clinton campaign and the power elites who created this mess, undermined the Trump presidency and our democracy, will be protected. The media can’t and won’t investigate this scandal with the gusto that occurred when Watergate break-in of the Democrat headquarters happened.
A key player, a trusted insider, and spokesperson for the Clinton Campaign was Jake Sullivan, who is now the National Security Advisor to Joe Biden. Jake, as a partisan hack, pushed this story relentlessly throughout the fall of 2016 as Hillary’s national security advisor. Does anyone think that his participation in this provable hoax will be reported center stage by the national media? No way. This is the same guy who’s lately fed the folks conflicting information about the Russian-Uranian dispute, much of which has been questionable.
Of course, now accused Clinton lawyer Michael Sussman, is claiming that the special prosecutor’s latest filing is “tainting” the jury pool prior to his upcoming May trial for his nefarious activities. The filing is merely an additional discovery to what has already been previously revealed. His caterwauling is not surprising given his close ties to the Clinton political machine. Not one clear thinker would buy this bilge in view of the latest disclosures.
So, here’s the deal. The progressive “swamp friendly” media is slowly beginning to do the “nothing to see here” dance. They will discount a reputable federal prosecutor, John Durham, as a right-wing nut job hell bent on resurrecting Donald Trump, all the while minimizing the dirty tricks and lies that Hillary was the progenitor of. Spying on a Presidential campaign and a presidency is a high crime.
Maybe the chant that resonated during the 2016 Presidential race, “Lock her up!”, will turn out to be prophetic.
