The Big Tent
The “leaders” of the Democrat Party are fond of endlessly repeating that “we are a big tent.” This is the standard reply that Senator Chuck “U” Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) repeat when questioned about the current candidate crop of loons, wackos, and weirdos affiliated with the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). Recently, a pledge was circulated to House Democrats reading, “We are capitalist, not socialist.” Only 10 of the 212 signed it. The DSA candidates are running for office under the banner of the Democrat Party because the establishment media won’t report who these folks are and what they really stand for.
If one takes the time to hunt down what this bunch really stands for, it’s fairly obvious these new faces are spouting the Communist Manifesto. The DSA platform says you work as much as you are able and no more than needed. If that were any closer to Karl Marx’s dictum, “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need,” they’d be sued for plagiarism. A quick look at some of the more prominent clowns under the Big Tent follows.
In New York, Darializa Avila Chevalier will almost certainly win the 13th Congressional District. Backed by Mayor Mamdani, she knocked out incumbent Adriano Espaillat (D-NY), Chairman of the Hispanic Caucus, who had served since 2017. This radical has called for the abolishment of the police and prisons. She once said that she would gladly use the American flag instead of a napkin to wipe her hands. A real patriot.
In the 7th Congressional District, Assemblywoman Claire Valdez is expected to replace retiring Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez (D-NY). She is in tune with most of the DSA’s radical proposals and even advocated the nationalization of the airline industry. Evidently, she believes that folks would feel safer in a Boeing jet piloted by a DEI government employee.
Completing Mamdani’s congressional trifecta in New York was Brad Lander, who defeated Congressman Dan Goldman in the 10th District democratic primary. Goldman was a well-known Trump antagonist, but he supported Israel’s right to defend itself and refused to label the war in Gaza as genocide. He stuck to his Jewish roots, and it cost him. Lander is all in on the DSA vision for America.
The nuttiness of the DSA has found its way to Colorado, where Melat Kiros is running for Congress in the 1st District. She knocked out progressive Congresswoman Diana DeGette, who had served since 1996. Melat, born in Ethiopia, is a 29-year-old perpetual student with a law degree from Notre Dame. After she was fired from a New York law firm, she returned to the state to pursue a PhD in Public Affairs at the University of Colorado. She’s on the record implying that the 9/11 attack was America’s fault. When a Muslim man firebombed an anti-Hamas rally in Boulder, she refused to call it an act of antisemitism. “I don’t know what was in the heart of the perpetrator,” she explained. Try hate, Melat.
Abdul El-Sayed is Michigan Democrats’ choice to run for the Senate. He’s on the record stating that football is emblematic of toxic masculinity. Guess he’s not a Wolverine fan. He’s also opined that he hates Mackinac Island, a beloved Michigan treasure. This highly educated and gifted orator gives off a slick veneer but has some odious priorities. El-Sayed opposes Israel, wants to defund cops, and wants to abolish ICE. If elected, he would be among the most radical senators ever to serve. Now that he’s the candidate, he and his allies are spending a lot of time retconning his past utterances.
Then there’s Troy Jackson, the current Democratic Senate candidate in Maine, called in to replace disgraced candidate Graham Platner. In his recent public appearances, he looks amazed that he’s running for the Senate. Probably some think it’s a bit unusual that he has a couple of kids with his second cousin. That isn’t illegal, just somewhat odd.
Mercifully, Francesca Hong, the Democrats’ nominee to run for governor in Wisconsin, lost her primary to a progressive Democrat, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley. He had dropped out of the race for a month but was urged to reenter when Hong exposed herself as nuttier than a peach orchard. She was so radical that even Bernie Sanders and AOC wouldn’t lend endorsements. The Korean American has ridiculed “whiteness” and once urged the cancellation of Thanksgiving. Despite strong backing from some far-left Democrats, Hong will be spending her now-favorite holiday, Thanksgiving, at home cooking and dining on the traditional loser’s crow dinner. But bear in mind that nearly 39% of the voters thought this loon should be their governor.
The Democratic Party has a plethora of peculiar candidates, including Texas Senate hopeful James Talarico, who believes that there are six genders. In Iowa, Sarah Trone Garriott, a Lutheran minister, is running for Congress. She once participated in a satanic wedding as an intern pastor. Sarah explained that the marriage of two satanists in the church was a “spiritual lesson” about love. Huh? She is trying to unseat Republican Rep. Zach Nunn in Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District.
The future question now is what brand of Democratic Party will emerge from the midterm elections. Will the loony progressives, leftists, and DSA communists continue to rise, or will the shrinking sane faction of the party find a way to rein in these clowns? Who will be left in “The Big Tent,” which currently makes Barnum & Bailey look like amateur night? James Carville has already stated that he can’t be in this party, populated with anti-capitalist fools like Hasan Piker, El-Sayed’s muse. Former Democrat Joe Manchin has expressed his disdain as well for this confirmed communist. On MSNOW’s “Morning Joe,” pundit Chris Matthews said Democrats running for office need to denounce the “crap” coming from the DSA.
The Ringmaster of this Circus, Senator Bernie Sanders, may discover that the “Big Tent” may shrink to a pup tent once America wises up about the true threat that these radicals pose to the Republic.
That, of course, is dependent on the legacy media reporting the true nature of the candidate clowns. Unfortunately, Americans will never get fair reportage because the press will continue with their “Trump is the devil” coverage, like they have for the last 10 years. They will never criticize Bernie Sanders or his devotees. Bank on it.
