A Christmas Message
In view of the recent tragedies domestic and foreign, remembering a Christmas message from President Reagan 40 years ago is appropriate. He wrote to the Nation the following.
“Today, as we celebrate the birth of Christ in our homes and churches, among family and friends and by our many different traditions, let us accept and share the generous gifts of joy, peace and love given on that first Christmas. May we honor them in our hearts and keep them through the year.”
The rampant hatred of the President, Christians, the Jewish community and even Muslims is not a fundamental part of the American dream. Perhaps the pundits, the political elites will pause and recognize that the vitriol seen and heard every day should not be encouraged or reported.
We can only hope.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.
