An Incredible Transition

During a press conference in Japan, Joe Biden was asked about the high gasoline prices in the United States. In an almost celebratory manner, he offered the following astonishing answer, "When it comes to the gas prices, we're going through an incredible transition that is taking place that, God willing, when it's over, we'll be stronger, and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over."

Joe insisted that his administration’s actions had actually been able “to keep it from getting worse — and it’s bad.” He then went on with this pat line of hooey, “The price of gas at the pump is something that I told you — you heard me say before — it would be a matter of great discussion at my kitchen table when I was a kid growing up.” Seems that Joe Biden was in his thirties when the concerns about fuel prices first came up as an issue back in the 1970’s. Research reveals that there wasn’t a gasoline price crisis when Joe was a “kid growing up” in the 40’s and 50’s. The Potomac Prevaricator at it again.

According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of gas was about $4.60 as of Tuesday with some states seeing an average cost of more than $5.00, meanwhile California's average cost sits just above $6.00. This is in a Nation that has enormous oil reserves and was energy independent just two years ago.  It is indeed one of many incredible transitions delivered to the country during the 15 months of the Biden Regime. So unnecessary.

The Biden Regime cheered the landing of military transport planes delivering baby formula from Europe.  What? If this had occurred during the Trump Administration, the media would exact a daily keel hauling of the President for allowing this to happen.  Yet the buck doesn’t stop with befuddled ol’ Joe. Never mind that it was his FDA that blew the layup when they shut down the Abbot facility in Michigan over “tainted” formula.  This problem occurred last fall and yet there was no sense of urgency to resolve the matter. Abbot has denied culpability over the deaths of two infants who consumed their product. No one has been blamed in the current government for failure to act and resolve the problem. An incredible transition. 

Now another national tragedy where an incredible transition is needed. A mass school shooting in Texas. More evidence of the national moral rot that continues unabated. Where is the war against evil? A lunatic shoots his grandmother in the face during a domestic dispute and then shoots up an elementary school in Uvalde Texas, killing 21. When will the Nation wake up and get aggressive with the treatment of the mentally unstable?  Once again, as in the case of the Buffalo shooting, it’s a sure bet that this sick human had well known mental issues.  Count on it as an investigation proceeds. If this whacked teenager had used a butcher knife in the school massacre, would there be a call for a ban on kitchen cutlery?

The Nation needs to wake up and invest in school security.  There are a lot of combat veterans and retired police officers that could be hired to secure the Nation’s most precious resource, our children. If all the elitist “swells” have armed security, why don’t the Nation’s schools have it?  Andrew Pollack, who lost his daughter Meadow in the Parkland High School shooting in 2018, tweeted the following Tuesday, “Armed guard. Single point of entry. Teacher training. We send out $Billions to other countries all the time. Why not fund school safety in America?” You can bet the loudest liberal progressive voices shouting for gun control are the ones with 24/7-armed security. Banning guns will never stop the evil acts but having an armed guard at door will stop it.

So, what did the Reader-in-Chief offer the Nation in view of this latest carnage? There wasn’t an incredible transition.  He couldn’t blame this carnage on "white supremacy," so he pivoted to gun makers, the gun lobby and offered up the same mendacious horse dung about “guns are the problem”. Nothing about the idiot who obviously needed help. Instead, Joe said “As a nation, we have to ask when in God’s name are we going to stand up to the gun lobby. When in God’s name are we going to do what we all know in our gut needs to be done?”

Sorry Joe, the gun lobby has nothing to do with the crazed Texas teenager who killed 19 school children and 2 teachers. There wasn’t one word in his brief speech about mental illness. He did offer thoughts and prayers.  It is despicable to politicize this horrific incident to advance an attack on the Second Amendment. There was no healing, only more division. This clueless buffoon hasn’t had an original thought in 50 years of national government, and still doesn’t get it. The Vice President took the opportunity to call for action but offered nothing. Anyone surprised?

Why not take the billions of unspent Covid relief dollars targeted for schools and use it for security? How about matching the 40 billion the DC politicians sent to the Ukraine for their security for America school security?  Let’s focus on the screening process for a gun purchaser with a heavy emphasis on mental fitness.

Just once Joe, make a unifying speech.
