Epstein Ad Nauseam
Now that the Schumer initiated government shutdown is over, Epstein Mania is sweeping the country. The House voted 427 to 1 in favor of releasing Justice Department data on the now-dead sex offender. The Senate then passed the bill by unanimous consent. Only Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La) voted against it and said, “This type of broad reveal of criminal investigative files, released to a rabid media, will absolutely result in innocent people being hurt.”
Unfortunately, that has become the point. We don’t know what the files contain, but there’s probably plenty that will embarrass some high-profile public figures. Republicans and Democrats are both hoping that the other party gets the worst of it.
The phrase "Epstein Mania" does not refer to an established medical condition or widely recognized psychological term. Rather, it is a colloquial or informal expression that has emerged in recent years, primarily in online discussions, the media, and in popular culture. The phrase is associated with Jeffrey Epstein, a financier whose criminal activities with underage girls and elites lead to his imprisonment.
Following the arrest and subsequent death in 2019, public curiosity grew rapidly about him. Epstein Mania (EM)is closely related to Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). The Morning Consult poll says that 60 percent of the American public believes that Donald Trump was in cahoots with Epstein. The legacy media shamelessly feeds this belief when in fact there is no empirical evidence that Trump was involved in Epstein’s salacious and sick activities.
Some very well know individuals have been connected to him. Epstein had an oil painting of President Clinton lounging in a blue dress, legs crossed hanging over the arm of a comfortable chair in his New York townhouse. There were no paintings of President Trump found. Harvard professor and former Secretary of the Treasury Lawrence Summers has announced that he is withdrawing from public life after his association with the pedophile Epstein was revealed. British Prince Andrew is no longer a Prince as a result of his friendship with him. Flight logs from Epstein’s private plane, nicknamed the “Lolita Express”, list the elites who made the trip to his private Caribbean island. No one went there to work on their tan.
If President Trump did anything in conjunction with Epstein, the Biden White House would have released it faster than Hunter Biden could hide a cocaine stash.
One of the more prominent sufferers of EM is the always seeking publicity Congresswoman from Texas, Jasmine Crockett. She excitedly rushed to the House floor and cited Federal Election Commission filings that show two different men named Jeffrey Epstein donated to former Congressman Lee Zeldin’s political campaign when he represented New York in the House. He is now the EPA Director for the Trump Administration.
Director Zeldin responded with the following on the social media outlet X, “Yes Crockett, a physician named Dr. Jeffrey Epstein (who is a totally different person than the other Jeffrey Epstein) donated to a prior campaign of mine. NO FREAKIN RELATION YOU GENIUS!!!” Obviously, her accusation was not well received by Zeldin.
Both Jeffrey Epsteins donated to Zeldin months after the notorious man of the same name allegedly hanged himself. Jasmine once again proved that she doesn’t have all her horses up to the trough since she was totally wrong. She went on CNN and offered a word salad excuse for her error that made Kamala Harris look like Shakespeare compared to her.
Legacy media outlets and social media platforms will continue to devote widespread coverage to Epstein until they find something else to harass Trump about. The released files most likely will not develop anything, but it won’t matter because folks believe what they want to believe, aided by the hearsay that’s everywhere. Facts have little relevance in a time of unrestrained social media, where standards are nonexistent.
The widespread "mania" surrounding Epstein’s story has influenced public attitudes toward issues such as criminal justice, elite power structures, and transparency in high-profile investigations. It has also prompted broader conversations about the role of media in shaping narratives and the potential for misinformation to spread when public interest reaches a fever pitch. The media phrenzy will eventually die out, and even if nothing is revealed by the released files, some folks will stubbornly hold on to their unfounded opinions.
Epstein Mania is terribly unfair to the victims especially when none of the perverts who participated in the abuse of young underage girls has been charged. This is another powerful example that fairness and justice has disappeared.
This crime will come back to haunt the Nation if nothing happens to the perpetrators.
