Waiting…
Everyone in America is waiting for something. Folks are waiting for lower gas prices, baby formula, sensible gun control, border control or idiot control. Waiting has become a national pastime. As the confused, leaderless regime bumbles, stumbles and lurches from one crisis to the next, waiting for solutions has taken on virtuous proportions, much like sitting in a hospital waiting room.
Given the State of the Union it looks like there’s going to be a long wait for the above numerated items. If anyone is foolish enough to think that gas prices are going to decline anytime soon, they should buy a dog, name it Toto, move to Kansas, cause they’re living in the “merry old land of Oz”. Regime change is the only factor that will influence the cost of a barrel of crude, and that’s a couple of years away.
Despite the reopening of the Abbott baby formula factory in Michigan, that product isn’t going to be in abundance for several months. That wait is wholly unacceptable given that the Regime shut it down with no contingency plan. Mothers with newborns will remember this malfeasance in November midterm elections.
Tuesday, actor and Uvalde Texas native Matthew McConaughey made an impassioned plea in the White House Press Room for gun control reforms in the wake of the tragedy in his hometown. He said it isn’t a partisan issue and legislators on both sides of the aisle have failed to act. “We know what’s on the table. We need to invest in mental healthcare, we need safer schools, we need restrained media coverage, we need to restore our family values, we need to restore our American values, we need responsible gun ownership.” His message was powerful, without advocating the seizure of weapons like some of the anti-gun loons are loudly ranting .
Not too far from Uvalde is the southern border. Drug cartels, for all intents, appear to be the managers of “who gets into the country illegally”. The mere fact that this Nations current impotent regime can not handle something as simple as immigration is patently ridiculous. Regardless of the media’s distaste for President Trump, he was able to bring order to the chaos with a wall, enhanced enforcement and making Mexico responsible for their side to the border. Waiting until the United States is overrun with illegals and smuggled drugs, then going broke because of a failure to enforce existing laws on immigration, is insane.
The cold hard facts are, this country can’t afford to be overrun by unskilled, poorly educated people who are simply coming here to take advantage of Joe Biden’s largess. The Mexican President stated that there should be a “American Superstate” with no borders. Great idea Lopez-Obrador…why don’t you start by arresting or knocking off the leaders of your drug cartels? Fat chance. Unfortunately there are those among us who think this is a grand idea, which brings us to idiot control.
Idiot control, a harsh term for those who help create the current unhealthy environment, is observed far too often lately. Waiting to control the idiots in our society far more daunting task than what McConaughey pointed out in his heartfelt remarks. We do need to invest in mental healthcare. That combined with his advocacy for restoration of family values and American values, is shocking coming from a Hollywood superstar. No one can argue with the need for safer schools or value restoration, and the country can’t wait any longer.
It is unconscionable that this great nation, who’s befuddled leader operates like a one trick pony, finds itself having a discussion about the January 6th riots and not the rampant inflation or inner city violence. America has never been a Nation of “waiters” but a Nation of “doers”.
Waiting in a hospital is noble and permitted when loved ones and friends are involved. That’s good waiting.
Waiting for anything else, is nonsense in country that produced the likes of Edison, Ford, King, Sowell, Powell, Eisenhower, and so many other historical figures who were never defined as “Waiters”.
