Loons
The loon is a bird that behaves poorly on land. The loon has decided difficulty walking, looks like a drunk when out of water and only comes ashore to nest and mate. Loon has also become a term for a foolish, crazy, strange person or behavior. The bird has the good sense to know it’s limitations, but the non-bird loons clearly do not recognize theirs. This is known as lunacy.
Loons have taken to social media to celebrate the death of Queen Elizabeth, blaming her for darn near everything including global climate change as result of her travels over 70 years. According to these vicious clowns she is also somehow responsible for apartheid, the slaughter of Somalian innocents and Middle East genocide. The Queen was solely blamable for all the sins of the British Empire. Nothing could be further from the truth and yet this hatred and complete stupidity permeates social media commentary.
Sunny Hostin of the ABC daytime gal gabfest, The View, remarked “She [the Queen] wore a crown with pillaged stones from India and Africa”. So unnecessary. Lunacy from the truly ignorant. On the anniversary of the 9/11 attack, social media posts even venerated the savages that drove airplanes into the Twin Towers. A sickness that knows no immediate cure.
No discussion of the subject matter would be complete without the latest word salad interview from Vice President Kamala Harris. On Sunday’s NBC’s Meet the Press with Chuck Todd, she assured him that the southern border was secure. “We have a secure border”, she declared. After all she’s the “Border Czar”, she should know. However Senator Joe Manchin called out the Vice President, when he was asked by Fox News anchor Bret Baier whether Harris' "secure" statement was correct. “It's wrong. She's dead wrong on that,” stated Manchin.
Fact is that the border leeks like a sieve. Recent broadcast images picture illegals scaling the wall in Arizona, dressed in camouflage, and running off into the desert. Drownings in the Rio Grande are at record levels. More illegals have made their way into the United States this year, than any number recorded during the Trump Administration, according to Homeland Security. Beyond lunacy.
Lunacy in the White House press room is always worth watching. On Tuesday, Press Secretary Jean-Pierre attempted to explain the Inflation Reduction Act that the Regime claims has reduced inflation. It was laughable. The announced inflation rate of 8.3% was above expectations and the Dow reacted accordingly, down over 1276 points. The Wall Street wise guys aren’t buying this foolishness. To make matters worse the White House held an event to celebrate this nonsense on the south lawn. A “victory lap” party with no victory in sight.
First James Taylor sang a couple of tunes, notably “Fire and Rain”, a song about suicide and addiction. Go figure why he picked that selection. He then weighed in on Global Warming, of course. He finished by singing the first verse of “America the Beautiful”. A liberal bard and multi-millionaire, out of touch with the realities of today’s world would be a massive understatement. But before Joe spoke the Nation was treated to a huge serving of baloney from Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer touting the Inflation Reduction Bill, legislation that hasn’t done beans much less reduce inflation.
Biden opined on the “success” of this legislation. He was so pumped up that he shouted his way through the speech. Claiming that prescription drugs would cost less, as well as all the kitchen table issues that he’s taking care of. Hogwash Joe. Gasoline is still 25% higher than when he took office, fuel oil is up over 60%. Mortgage interest rates continue to shoot upward and could get worse with an anticipated increase in rates by the Federal Reserve Bank this month.
The lapdog press did their usual bobble head nodding, as Joe squinted at his big screen teleprompter. His Ray Bans didn’t prevent his usual mangled syntax on a sunny Washington day. The image of Joe Biden speaking about how he singlehandedly beat inflation as the stock market tanked was quintessentially outlandish. A thud of an economic speech not seen in the history of American Presidents.
A garden party on the White House south lawn, celebrating an ineffective spendthrift bill was astonishing. But more breathtaking is a Regime, populated by leadership that has never run as much as a lemonade stand, now running the world’s largest (for the time being) economy.
Year over year, Energy is up 23.8%, Shelter up 6.2%, Food up 11.4%, Meat and Poultry up 10.6%, Dairy up 16.2% and Vegetables up 9.4%, but Biden insists that the economy is “right on track”.
That statement is for the birds, the loons.
