Malarkey
Thanks to the 46th President of the United States the term “malarkey” has made a comeback. As used by him, this is a polite substitute for “BS” or “Bull” or the increasing popular hybrid “Bullschiff” (an homage to Congressman Adam Schiff, well known for malarkey he has put out.)
“He’s trying to tell us he cares about the middle class. Give me a break. That’s a bunch of malarkey,” said Vice President Joe Biden about Donald Trump when he was running for President in 2016. Could that same statement now apply to Joe?
Holidaying at his Delaware beach house, Joe looked like he was oblivious to the middle class as he bicycled Saturday surrounded by a cocoon of security. When members of the middle class take a tumble off their bikes like Joe did, there aren’t a dozen folks to help them up. Nope they’re on their own. Same holds true when they fill their gas tanks or load a shopping cart. Nobody around to help them with the cost. The middle class in America is on its own.
Doesn’t have to be that way but the Marxist, progressive, socialist greenies that populate Joe’s Regime remain clueless ideologues. More worried about the impending doom of climate change than the everyman’s daily struggle to survive. These dunces have no idea that windmills and solar panels are not the best solution the Nation’s power needs. Fossil fuel is the devil, is their daily mantra.
If you want to know how the economy is doing, no need to watch the stock market. The indicator that demands attention is the local service station that sells diesel fuel. Everything consumed or worn by Americans is delivered by diesel locomotives or trucks. Diesel, by the gallon has more than doubled since the current Regime took office. Vladimir Putin had absolutely nothing to do with it, despite all the malarkey coming out of Joe’s teleprompter. In fact today, while proposing a 3-month suspension of the federal fuel taxes, the Nation was treated to Biden blaming Putin and the invasion of the Ukraine for high gasoline prices. The Teleprompter grew a Pinocchio-like nose again. Even some Democrats and interviewed drivers thought this was too little too late.
During the administration of the “Mean Tweeter”, the country was well on its way to solid energy independence. Bacon was not $9.49 a pound. Unfortunately, the malevolent mainstream media has been busy singing “hosanna in the highest” about Joe for 17 months. Only now with Joe’s approval rating in the mid 30% range, is there an awakening. Even his pals at CNN have begun to question his fitness to run in 2024. What next? Will the rest of the Biden media syncopates fall in line, realizing that the emperor has no clothes? Can’t lead a country or ride a bike?
It doesn’t have to be this way. A reversal of the disastrous policies implemented January 20th, 2021, would go a long way to ameliorate the current economic chaos plaguing the United States. Undo the chokehold Biden’s executive orders put on the energy sector immediately. Ignore the malarkey that 9000 leases are available for the oil and gas companies to utilize, since the regulations Joe imposed rendered them impractical to develop. Then restore the canceled drilling permits for the Gulf Coast and the Alaskan north shore. Restart the Keystone XL pipeline as the Premier of Saskatchewan lobbied Congress to act on, two weeks ago in DC. Why would we want a Chinese pipeline built to Vancouver, so they can get energy resources that are next door to the United States?
Those actions alone would go a long way to restore consumer confidence and mitigate the rush to financial ruin that is being witnessed by everyone. Sadly, there isn’t a chance that this will happen anytime soon. Nope. The teleprompter will tell us that its all Putin’s fault coupled with climate change. The President will still hang out at his beach house, riding his bike (staying on hopefully), unconscious of the alleged threat rising oceans pose to his 4-million-dollar shoreline home. In fact, his pal Barack will not cancel the construction of his luxurious digs on the Oahu island coast or sell his Martha’s Vineyard estate that’s dangerously close to the Atlantic.
Monday while wandering on the beach near his home, Biden offered the following gem when questioned by a reporter about inflation, he emphasized that he wanted to raise taxes on the wealthy, claiming that “Trump’s tax cut” was “inflationary.” “Going out and buying the yacht doesn’t help the economy that much,” he opined. Ask the blue-collar craftsmen who build them if they want the wealthy to stop buying yachts…or private jets. He wants to raise taxes on the “greedy” corporations. Never mind that the goods they make will just cost more. Econ 101 Joe. Once again, the Stupid-o-meter is pegged in the red.
A lot of positive action can happen, but it won’t. The folks are going to be told to “suck it up buttercup” because it is what it is. The current majority government will use the January 6th Committee’s ongoing investigation of the “Mean Tweeter” actions on that day as a beard to obfuscate the confounding governance of President Joseph Robinette Biden Jr.
His staff, the “Malarkeyettes”, will continue to put more manure on the teleprompter for him to read and nothing will be solved.
