State of the Union

Typically, after a new President takes office, there isn’t a State of the Union address to the Congress.  Generally, the Inaugural Address is considered the “State of the Union”. Since Joe Biden’s speech, the state of the union has changed dramatically. Some claim for the worse. In his first public appearance since leaving office, President Trump gave a “State of the Union” address in Orlando, Florida at CPAC (Conservative Political Action Committee) Convention. He left no stone unturned. He opined on a number of issues.

Once again, thanks to Biden’s executive orders the Nation is facing an illegal immigration crisis. The “cages” where the illegals are housed, that the democrats railed about are back. No longer are the “undocumented noncitizens” kept in Mexico, as facilities are being repurposed for their confinement here. Of course, the mainstream media is tamping down any coverage, discounting the chaos on the southern border, and continuing to cover for Biden’s utterly ridiculous and lawless immigration policy. Former President Trump said the following in his speech.

"Illegal immigrants are now being apprehended and released along the entire southern border, just the opposite of what it was two months ago. They weren't coming because they couldn't get in. Once they think they can get in, they're coming and they are coming at levels that you haven't even seen yet, by the hundreds of thousands, by the millions, they'll be coming." Big problem at the southern border by summer.

“By the millions” might be hyperbole but hundreds of thousands who are unvaccinated, coming from the poorest areas of Central America and Mexico, constitutes an unnecessary humanitarian fiasco.

President Trump also covered the stupidity of keeping the kids out of school because of the “China Flu”. On that subject he said, "There's no reason whatsoever why the vast majority of young Americans should not be back in school immediately. The only reason that most parents do not have that choice is because Joe Biden sold out America's children to the teachers unions."

How come children who go to parochial schools, throughout the country, have been back in class since September? Have any reports surfaced of widespread teacher infections and deaths as a result of being exposed to children in private schools?  Why aren’t the public schools open?  Simple, teachers unions in major metropolitan cities constantly caterwaul about the dangerous conditions facing the teachers. They make demands that are unreasonable and at times laughable, for their return to the classroom.  Their activist unions donate millions to the Democratic Party every year. There is absolutely no way Joe Biden would ever say anything remotely hostile about these cash cow contributors. Meanwhile America’s children are struggling.

President Biden killed the Keystone XL Pipeline and in the forty plus days his regime has been in charge, gasoline prices have gone up.  If you haven’t noticed, then perhaps your one of those who can afford a $60,000+ Tesla…that runs on electricity generated by fossil fuels.

“Under the radical Democrat policies, the price of gasoline has already surged 30 percent since the election and will go to five dollars, six dollars, seven dollars and even higher. So, enjoy that when you go to the pump, they'll say, that'll be about 200 dollars to fill up your van."

What President Trump said is true. The oil companies aren’t dumb and when they are under assault, it might be a good idea to build up some cash reserves as they may be forced to transition their companies to a new business model. By not sticking with the energy independent policy that the previous administration fostered, Biden ends up sticking it to the consumer.  That's a tax that hurts the less fortunate who suffer because scant dollars are spent not on the family, but fuel. The elite liberal dummies don’t give a hoot about the regular folks.  Isn’t that abundantly evident?

The cultural canceling social problems we are witnessing every day didn’t escape Trump’s commentary as he stated the following.

"We believe in patriotic education and strongly oppose the radical indoctrination of America's youth. It's horrible. We are committed to defending innocent life and to upholding the Judeo-Christian values of our founders and of our founding. We embrace free thought, we stand up to political correctness and we reject left-wing lunacy, and in particular we reject cancel culture."

Just look at the latest mugging of “Mr. Potato Head”. Hasbro, the manufacturer thinks the toy should be gender neutral or it may be removed from the market.  Seriously? Then this week, six of Dr. Seuss’s children’s books were deemed inappropriate as some of the depictions and dialog might be offensive. Free expression is under onslaught by a limited number of left-wing loons. The rights we have to speak, deliberate, assemble are in jeopardy if this nonsense is allowed to remain pervasive in the country.

The former President called for breaking up big technology companies, which he called monopolies, who want to shutter conservative voices online. Twitter and Facebook have banned him permanently. The companies blamed him for the January 6th riot, even though he asked his supporters to march “peacefully and patriotically” to the Capitol as lawmakers in Congress were certifying Biden’s election win. Amazon is now refusing to sell books that Jeff Bezos and his minions have declared not fitting for purchase by Americans. Hey Jeff, in the spring of 1933, the Nazis started burning books that that were “subversive”, not fitting the current political narrative of the day. It seems these techno-giants are leading the charge of the “cancel culture” movement.

If President Joe Biden thinks the state of the union is great, then he needs another dog named Toto and a Mayflower van for the move of the White House to Kansas.
