The Enemy of Freedom
An important question for any citizen of the United States is who the enemy of freedom is. Who will try to attack the basic rights that the framers of the Constitution laid out over 250 years ago? Never in this Nation’s history have those rights been questioned as they have been recently.
In 60 days, Americans will decide what kind of government they want for the next four years. The choice is simple, libertarian capitalism or progressive socialism. Forget the candidate’s personalities and think about what their governing philosophy will be. Do not cast your vote based on hatred for the “Evil Orange Man” or the “Toothy Bimbo from San Francisco”. Think about what their belief system is, how this Nation should be governed.
Usually, to find out how a political team will rule if elected, they speak to the press, outline their vision and answer questions. In the last 30 days Trump/Vance has had a combination of 35+ interviews and press conferences. Meanwhile the Harris/Walz team has had 1, an 18-minute taped CNN interview that had been edited from 41 minutes. CNN even had the hutzpah to put a “Live” chyron during their broadcast. Not much was newsworthy except for the fact that the Vice President finally spoke to the media after her self- imposed news blackout. Remember, the real enemy of freedom and democracy is a candidate who will not speak to all the media on an unfiltered basis.
Harris and Walz have hip checked the press over the rails like a couple of roller derby skaters. When recently asked about the deaths of the Israeli hostages in Gaza at a state fair appearance, Governor Walz turned on his heel and said, “Thanks everybody”, moving swiftly away from the questioners. Kamala Harris got out of her armored SUV, pretended to be on her phone marching up the stairs of Air Force Two, ignoring the press. Later she issued a statement condemning the lack of a cease fire in Gaza. Trump and Vance immediately spoke to the press, expressing their outrage over the deaths.
This vivid example, hostage deaths, demonstrates that in a Nation where freedom of the press has been foundational, that a couple of office seekers could be so cavalier about an issue, yet a corrupted progressive media does not protest. Nor do they report the absence of information, but instead look like partisan bobbleheads mindlessly nodding on the back seat shelf of a ’55 Chevy. If Trump or Vance had operated like this, the caterwauling could still be heard. When the folks aren’t aware about a politician’s plans, they become the enemy of freedom. Some of the democrat ticket plans for the Nation’s future might be revealed in the following.
What little the citizenry knows about their principles can only be divined from Kamala Harris’ previous statements, her core beliefs. Pay no attention to her shift to the “center”, this baloney is nothing more than shameless pandering for votes. She is a threat to freedom of speech based on her earlier views about the content of social media. In an interview Harris had with CNN in 2019 after a Democratic presidential primary debate, she blasted sites for "directly speaking to millions and millions of people without any level of oversight and regulation." Something, she said "has to stop." She was also railing about shutting down Trump’s Twitter account because she claimed it had a negative effect on society. Does anyone think she’s changed her mind?
The Second Amendment to the Constitution is another target for a potential Harris-Walz Regime. Kamala has repeatedly called for packing the Supreme Court. New York Times Reporter Alexander Burns was recorded stating, “Harris told me in an interview actually that she was absolutely open to doing that…” There is every reason to believe her court packing scheme would involve installing a solid anti-Second Amendment majority to the Supreme Court that would work to eliminate recognition of the individual right to keep and bear arms. She advocated banning weapons when she was the District Attorney of San Francisco, and then as Attorney General of California she instigated tighter regulations regardingun purchases and ownership. Crime has not gone down in California.
The freedom of citizens to keep most of their own assets is under assault. The proposed Harris-Walz Regime wants to raise corporate tax rates, capital gains tax, tax unrealized gains and end the Trump Tax cuts. All these economic tax policies have elevated the specter of chaos in the financial markets. These taxes trickle down to the ordinary citizen in a number ofways. Those who think that when taxes are increased for corporations it doesn’t affect them, are living in the land of Oz. Companies simply lower employee wages, increase the cost of their products and pass it along to consumers.
If the capital gains tax rate goes up, that action creates a huge disincentive to invest in America. Access to credit would further decline because the cost of capital goes up (interest rates) and equity prices that ordinary Americans depend on for their retirement would plummet. When unrealized gains are taxed, folks are forced to pay taxes on assets they hold just because the value went up on paper. For example, if the value of their home goes up, she wants to tax that gain as well. Of course, Kamala has said this applies to the extremely wealthy but remember government greed has no guardrails.
If you want to know what the Trump-Vance program is, there’s no need to dig as they are constantly available to the press to outline what their governance would look like and answer any and all questions…unscripted and unedited. Speaking at the New York Economic Club Thursday, the former President outlined specific policies designed to stimulate the American economy. Then he took questions from the attendees for over a half an hour. Has anyone see Kamala do that…unscripted and unedited?
So, this election is really about Freedom and who is going to continue the American dream. The blather that we hear from the Vice President coupled with the Regime’s performance over the last 3 plus years are strong signs that what she reads now from the teleprompter is just a lot of blue smoke.
This election is all about the kind of government you want, who is going to be the enemy of your freedom, and finally who is going to be open and honest with the citizens. It should not be based on personal animus toward the candidates.
